All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 7.29.09

Post by Kona2 » July 30th, 2009, 9:33 am

ImageConsulting the canoe glossary, the astrogator learns that a foot brace makes paddling more efficient and comfortable - with added stability. This sounds like a good thing -- is it also adjustable (similar in a remote way to our erg footrests)? Still, putting holes into your canoe.....yikes....that's like having to make a slice in your spacesuit....aaaack.

Season meters as of 90/365 = 21,771,239 m

Total meters on the day = 185,298 m

Oars in space = 25 percent

MILESTONES....Bragging Rights....Celebrations:

4,444,444 m lifetime for Peter H! What a great alignment of numbers! Have to seize those moments to land on number sequences! Good man!

300K Rick C

ONE Million Meter Watch:

Barbara with (7,343 m) to go! Probably finishing this at this very moment!

Will S with (87,342 m) to go!

And thanks to today's crew for all the meters:

Wild Bill with 38,000 m  Image
Mary 18,584 m (a fine update)
Tim 14,396 m
Dan 14,236 m
Darryl 14,235 m
Dave 13,658 m
Mitch J 13,014 m
Barbara 12,506 m
Rick 10,000 m
Peter H 9,694 m
Gina 7,500 m
Jim 7,245 m
Steven 7,230 m
Ted 5,000 m

Image

Have a blue sky day everyone! Row strong! We are nearing the 22 MM mark - and today marks the end of the first quarter of the rowing year!

I haven't dropped off the face of the earth...so to speak, or frozen (it is cold though) but a pleasant 19degrees (c) today (Friday)...

Been rowing, but have had a couple of days holiday from work and the home computer also took a break the other day......back now after a visit to the computer doctor! What would we do without computers!!

Not sure if I'll get a row in this weekend as I'm supposed to be walking....

Good weekend to all from Downunder!!

Kona2 - It's now over 75F and humid in my basement where the rower awaits me each morning. So I'm not going for any new records for a while... But I did row an extra 10 minutes yesterday for a couple reasons. #1) It was raining and therefore there was no rush to get cracking on my deck repair project outside. #2) I was rowing while watching my Briar Lake / Clearwater Lake home video. While I see the Briar Lake portion about 3-4 times a month in rotation with my other videos; its rare for me to see any of the Clearwater waves because I usually cut my rows off at 1 hour. So I was just doing the wave at the end of my row yesterday. And no more nightmares last night of fiends drilling holes in my most expensive canoes. I think I'm over that trauma, and can venture back out in society again. Moose

CONGRATULATIONS bg on 1 million meters for this seasons. Excellent rowing! And as I recall, despite being on the injured reserve list for a considerable number of weeks!

Yes, it's back down to the low 70's in the AM, but, some say it was just enough to squeak by Peter G.

Today was an 'even' longer row, 4 unique even digits, enough to reach 500K YTD!

Congratulations Barbara on achieving a million meter season!

Couldn't say it any better! I'm so glad that you're obviously feeling much better these days ... those are some serious workouts you've been posting. (Plus whatever else you're doing to stay on page 1 of the cheezer report!)
