I lost my old account after few years of inactivity so had to create a new one.

I see the club is still going strong. Nice sessions you are posting here.

Is Meerkat or Georgina still around here?

may have noticed a very fast CTC from Todd Carpenter today?
If he is lurking here then Hi Todd great to see you do this one.
(for others Todd is a Florida based New Zealander with a long history as a FFlyer and a massive sprinter back in the day)

Kris,

Still here!!, although spent 3 weeks in France on holiday trying to rehab my knee!!.

I see there is going to be another Flyer at BIRC, so I'll probably raise that 1 and enter, I need a target, rowing is going to come back faster than running. Even thinking about a pop at Boston, but we'll see

CTC was well slow for me, but I will have another go tonight, kids also keen for a go

All looking good, great to see a boat up there in the top 10!!

Complete write-off for August for me with what turns out to be muscle spasms in the lower back. Only starting now to have a day here and there with low/moderate pains only.

Realistically, I don't think I'll be sitting on an ergo for the better part of September either now until it clears and steadies. Gutting feeling of losing all the benefits of these last months and going only backwards at the moment, particularly with BRIC in 3 months time which was my main motivation for this last year. I am really not the patient kind but don't really have a choice.

Guess no news would have been better news, Olivier. Be patient. Our thoughts with you. Jack

Tried to get back in front of Dan Farmer on the CTC this morning, but the best I could do was tie him. Improved my 400m split from 1:34.4 to 1:33.3. Failed on improving my 100m split. Great job Dan! Final splits are as follows:

400 m: 1:33.3
300 m: 1:31.2
200m: 1:28.0
100m: 1:27.0

Have you got some glute weakness/back, if it is symtomatic, i.e. you can still function, then go see a sports physio. Kettlebell classes could do wonders and stengthen all the bits that need it.

Where abouts do you live??

Yes, where are they? Two boats stir sticks on the float. Thinking of putting in a "trans" registration. But must be careful what we ask for. Women of acomplishment can fill boats all by themselves.
