It looks like we are going to finish in a very solid 11th place in the WRC. That is awesome, we have all rowed a great challenge. Congratulations to each one of you.

I am curious to know if any of my teammates had a goal for this season? Mine was to try and get back to rowing, regain some of my health and lose some weight. After my stroke and disabilities, I ballooned up to 205 lbs. I have dropped to 177 during this season, which I am happy with. My minor strokes have all but disappeared, and outside of some irreversible damage to some parts, I really feel great. My goal for next season is to drop my weight to the lightweight limit. I row alot of meters but sadly they are slow times, so it takes alot to lose a little.
Bobbie is supposed to have knee replacement surgery in June ( I hope) , so her goal is to get back on the erg by September.
Please let me know what the rest of TimbukToo is planning.
Thanks
jim

Great question, Brother Jim. I came in late to this season, in November, with no expectations. Subliminal goals, once I got started, was to be consistent, as I really needed a good replacement for the running I can't do anymore, and the indoor bicycle was boring but also hurting my knee. But you know, Brother Jim, you're doing pretty darn good for someone who "rows slow". Give yourself credit for consistency yourself! You wouldn't have improved your health otherwise.

For this next year, I'm still going for consistency but also pushing it carefully. I've had some health issues come up just recently (that don't impact on my ability to exercise, but secondarily are benefited by it), and have a weight goal that is embarassing because it has been my goal for a long time, a pretty small goal of 15 or 20 pounds (I'm not a tall person!), but hasn't been moving much. Again, consistency and persistence.

Thanks. That was just the half-marathon though. I hope to do a full marathon before the end of the time period.
