While in San Diego all day Sunday, I did think of our OZ members as we took my 15 yr old to Outback for his birthday dinner. And...I will admit to sharing in some of the wonderful Thunder from Down Under...if you've never had this dessert, you've been logging meters for nothing! I think, but am not sure, the 575 calories I earned today covered it. (huge warm brownie topped by ice cream, whipped cream, fudge sauce and shaved chocolate!)

So today I took a deep breath, set the monitor to 10,000 and hoped I would finish. I did! And according to my logbook, I beat my last time by over 3.5 minutes!! (back in Jan 08)

BTW "oz" in Hebrew means "strength" ... quite appropriate.

Image Image SEVEN Luna-Tics in the top 100 rowers! Way to row!

Image Wowzer! This team is zooming thru space!
We cranked out an amazing 476,741 m yesterday!

We are ranked 8th overall, and number 5 among virtual teams - still seeing BIG numbers posted by the large teams as they add 50 or a 100 rowers at a time. We're posting GREAT numbers for a team this size - especially on a per team member basis! (I am thinking that ONE week to get your team members lined up ought to be the limit....)

Thank you to all who are rowing with the team!

Congratulations on the million Gina - and well done with that 10k stint! Sounds like a little Thunder from Down Under was all that you needed!

Well done also to both the Wills with their "Red Giants" - I reckon that like a "Half - Moon" it doesn't matter if it isn't in one sitting, but is on the same day... that is a butt numbing effort! B)

Cheers,
Dave

Just to clarify

Post by Kona2 » March 25th, 2009, 9:54 am

Image

Help me understand this:

The award distances have to be completed in one sitting. These are the full marathons, the half marathons and the newly designated red giants.

Distances that are equivalent to the award distances, yet completed in more than one row session during a 24 hr period, are moons of some sort, complicated by using the same pictures. How are we supposed to know which one is a real award and which one is an equivalent?

Aaaaaack.
