Awesome! Welcome!skkipper wrote: ↑September 7th, 2020, 6:18 pmHi everyone! I also just joined the team! 28yo, FHWT. I was an athlete in high school and undergrad but I have spent a lot of time eating carbs since. I picked up a rower last April but only occasionally rowed until March of this year when rowing became the most exciting part of my day. I have loved the challenges the that are set up and was looking for a team for the Fall Team Challenge, which led me here. I have also signed up on the cross team challenge and indoor rowers league sites.-Sheena

and yes you are more than welcome to join if that had not been made clear. Female LWT, gold dust on the C2 CTC challenge, can we point you in that direction. See the welcome post from Dave, gives details about registering on htagt sitesabrina wrote: ↑September 7th, 2020, 4:08 pmHi,
You are advertising so nicely in other threats, I thought I ask directly here if can join you. I’ve only started rowing end of last year and am surprised that I am still at and actually enjoying it. I feel I need to get back to rowing some more again now that the warm days of summer are over – this is relatively speaking; it’s never actually warm here in Denmark. FLWT, 37y, I normally row 15-20k (should be 30-40 really) a week at 2:30 to 2:25 depending on the distance.
Welcome and good luck
Re: Forum Flyers
done and done. I didn't think it was a good rowing day, but put my PB as re-row and took 6 seconds off. Puuhaa.. No one has ever called me GOLD DUST before
That goes a long way
Thanks everyone. I have a glass of wine now

Thanks for the intro, Spike / Russell_Spike_ wrote: ↑September 7th, 2020, 1:31 pm
Thanks for the email with the new members' guide. Very useful.
I'm based in the UK. Just turned 58 years old. My main sport is running but I cross-train with cycling and indoor rowing.
I use 'Spike' as my user name as that's what most people know me as. My given name is Russell so I'll answer to either.
The Virtual Rowing Championship earlier in the year was fun so I'm up for a few more challenges as part of a virtual team.

Welcome Sabrina! Our record keeping isn't very solid, but you might just be our first Danish member (but I stand to be correctedsabrina wrote: ↑September 7th, 2020, 4:08 pmHi,

Welcome Sheena. Great to have so many new members joining this week. And the best part of rowing is the guilt-free carbs laterskkipper wrote: ↑September 7th, 2020, 6:18 pmHi everyone! Just heard from the guy (Sebastien) who is managing the website. There is currently a temporary issue with the website effecting new users. He asked that I email him my result and he would enter it manually.

Re: Forum Flyers
I've been struggling to switch from High Flyers 18 to High Flyers 2020 (profile change doesn't save each time). I've popped him a mail, hoping to sort it out before I do my first entry.

Re: Forum Flyers
Hi to all the Forum Flyers.
My long awaited erg arrived this week and I've joined the team with the Fall Team Challenge in mind. I'm planning on contributing many metres, over innumerable hours, at a laughably slow pace.
I'm 52, a LW on a good day, and yet another wine lover. I'm hoping the erg will get me fit and earn me the occasional carb. If my technique and fitness improve significantly, I might start training to compete.
