I just checked our year-round team roster, and discovered we lost one of our higher meters members. She has been an active participant, so this might be an accident. I have emailed her to let her know. Hopefully we will get her back in the boat before too long, and be back in 13th position again. I think that is why we dropped back one place.
E Lynne Fitzmorris was previously on our roster but moved over to the TimbukToo team.

Great job!

I wanted to explain my absence and lack of meters over the past 5 days. My mother went into the hospital on Friday for back surgery. Everything was fine, she worked with a PT the next morning. Then she laid back down to rest and fell asleep. Sometime during the mid afternoon she had a massive stroke and never woke up. My family and I are in shock, she was so proud of me and asked me daily what my meters were.

I may try to get back on the erg today, but not quite sure. I know I won't make the Vday challenge. But hopefully March Madness.

thanks for all your thoughts, I did row a slow 6500 today. Mom is in my thoughts, I keep thinking what she would say. She would have been happy I was back rowing. I had visions of her in heaven talking my college coach.

Gina,

As the others are; I too am sorry for your loss. You and your family will be in my prayers. In 2006 I lost both my Mother and Father, only time will heal the pain and emptiness you feel.

I found the erg a great place to re-leave stress and meditate. That my sound contradictory but it works.

Hang in there Kiddo!

http://www.concept2.co.uk/training/interactive.php

It is an interactive training calculator that will give you workout programs based on data you enter such as your athletic level (scroll down on that page to see the classification definitions);
the number of rowing sessions per week you want to row;
number of weeks to your "race" or goal;
your current best 2000 meter time;
your age;
your resting heart rate;
your maximum heart rate (it can estimate it for you).

You can select a program for increasing your 2000 meter times or for weight loss.

You plug in all the data asked for, and the calculator generates your workout program for the days and weeks you requested, along with instructions for how to row the different workouts.

The info I learned from this link really revolutionized my rowing, and made my time on the rower much more efficient and fun. I highly recommend it, even for beginners.
Yes that's it! Thanks very much.

I will be moving to a new house for the next week or so and will not be able to update my logbook as regular but everyone can count on me to continue with the rowing and I will get my meters in as soon as I can.

Thank you very much. Tom is the one who lay down the challenge. Now I must accept. I am so pumped to be this close to my first ever million. I just started rowing in September of this past year. At the time I set my sights on the magic million but don't think I ever really believed I could do it. Now I am itching to get back in the saddle every day because I am so close.
