Welcome back to Rich C, John Y, and Matt F.

I'm pretty sure that Matt F is THE returning founder of this team...and perhaps he has dropped in on several erging years. So a special welcome to Matt, and what a long way we have come in 17 years as a team. We've been to the moon MANY times, currently working on trip number 6.

Our FIFTH lunar landing occurred on October 6, 2021...and at end of erging year (4.30.22), predicted the 6th lunar landing would be a 2024 occurrence ... but it probably wouldn't be within the 2024 erging year.

Totals since last lunar landing:

2022 Erging Year = 94,376,601 m
2023 Erging Year = 130,930,740 m
2024 Erging Year = 141,707,605 m

Gives us a total of 367,014,946 m and we need 384,000,000 m....so (16,985,054)to go! Whoa! We are CLOSER than I thought. Back in January, we still had 61 MM and change to go ! We're ALREADY at 6 MM of that 17 MM ish target...so we'd best start preparing for the Lunar Landing! New predicted early ETA is week 2 of July 2024, but could run closer to second half of July....

The virtual team LUNA-TICS was founded by teammate Matt Forsbacka. Kristine S created the forum pages for us to write on, and I started doing stats...in 2007. Almost 2000 pages later...here we are.

Here is his founding statement:

As a card-carrying luna-tic, I'm committed to returning to the Moon. So for all of you folks affilated with NASA, or are just interested in space exploration, please join me in racking up the miles to and fro from the Moon. 250,000 miles each way, so I'll need a lot of help. I row to help relieve some of the stress that goes along with being responsible for developing robotic explorers of our Moon. Working for NASA is actually a lot of fun and a great honor, but having the chain to pull helps guide my occasional angst into improving my health. I hope you enjoy similar benefits of this magnificent obsession. Cheers! Matt
