Opening day for the Colorado Rockies, and oh man is it tough to be a Rockies fan right now! As the game started, the win-loss record was 1-6...and there had been some totally miserable performances. The Rox almost gave away another one...but it was the bottom of the 9th, one out...and they hit a walkoff grand slam. Another Opening Day moment for the memory book.



And we're still 11th with over 7.4 million Challenge Team meters!! We were briefly at spot number 10, but we're 120K behind the team in spot 10. Nothing offensive was meant in yesterday's post that the team in spot 10 is Chinese - their name means We Can Row...and I knew of no other way to identify them. Still, we dropped a participant and are now at 69 instead of 70...and that does not happen often. Thanks to the Lunies who are keeping us in the hunt!

This is Penguin, the African Grey parrot that I never expected to be babysitting...but here she is, and I am. Penguin knows and speaks her name often, and seemingly answers questions. When I leave after visiting her, I say "I'll be back!" and she replied "Ok" yesterday. Her owners really wanted to take an international trip, but didn't know who they could get to check in on Penguin. Penguin is 25 years old, and as long as she is on her way to 26 when her owners return...I'm good with it. This extra duty has impacted my schedule - doesn't take much ! Lots of prioritization...
