International Women's Day Challenge is today!

Join our new International Women’s Day Challenge on March 8 and help raise money for charity. To take part sign up on the Logbook home page and then row or ski a 5000m piece (or ride 10,000m on the BikeErg) on International Women's Day. Concept2 will donate $5 for everybody who completes the challenge to charities working to help grow women's sport

Daylight Savings Time - The future of daylight savings time...just when you thought we were DONE DONE DONE with the time switches, that Congress passed a law making it so....well, there was some fine print. The law only permits states to opt out of permanent DST and remain on permanent standard time, but does not permit observation of permanent DST. Colorado, for example, has to get at least four other mountain time zone nearby states to opt in to whatever change we want to see AND get Congress to pass a law allowing states to adopt permanent DST. Only the clocks are likely to change in the near future.



Alaska Dan switches modes of transportation (skis, bike, etc) almost as often as he switches locations! This was what I called a really cool ice fort (iceberg dead ahead!) exploration during a 22 mile bike ride on a glacial lake - assume that studded tires weren't optional.
