Wow, tres impressive, Luna-team. I was feeling quite the slacker last night, after a "quarter" marathon ... then got real, and finished reading my book! (Hard to imagine that, when considering the December challenge, 6K /day sounded almost not-doable.)

(Jan, waaay longer than 10 years ... I could tell you but {as they say} then I'd have to kill you.)

Jan,

Woooo, where did the Arizona Outlaws come from? Those SOBs blindsided us. Time load the photon cannon and put our boats in warp drive.

Doctor Dan,
Your wife is beautiful! Love the hats, too. If you can't get a picture sized right to use for your profile or avatar here, email me the one you want to use, and I can prep it for you. Also, Darryl found out that you have to be using internet explorer for your browser (did I get that right, Darryl?) to get it to upload. If all else fails, you can send your prepped picture to Dena at C2, and she can help you get it on (I'm pretty sure.)

Jan,
Can you put a total number in each row after the strings of icons? It isn't really an issue if the icons match in size, but when they are different sizes it is harder to tell without counting which row is larger (when they are close, anyways.)

I like the idea of the full moon pic for the full marathon, the half-moon pic for the half-marathon, and the crescent moon pic for the quarter-marathon. Or if you want to go simple:
:) =quarter marathon
:D = half marathon
 = full marathon

It is so cool to hear how encouraging this team and forum is for everyone, no matter where they are in their rowing goals. Every personal milestone, no matter how small it might seem next to someone else's, is something to be proud of.

Kristine,

Thanks for info on using IE. I do most of this at home where I use a MacPro, that might explain my problems. I'll try the PC at the office.

Doctor Dan,

I think what happened is that Lynn Griffin left our team today. Don't be too hard on the Arizona Outlaws. They didn't shoot ahead of us on purpose. :D

It is not uncommon for people to move from team to team, trying to find the right fit, and sometimes people end up deciding that the whole Team thing is just not for them.

Happy rowing, Lynn and Diane. It was nice to have you even if only for a little while. All the best to you both from the LUNA-TICS!

Kona2 Obi-Wan ... no wonder there's a disturbance ... you're doing Star Wars and Dan-DDS is doing Star Trek. I can feel myself wobbling between universes (or, possibly, just between decades).

Star-Trek vs Star Wars

Post by Kona2 » March 5th, 2008, 5:46 pm

Chris/23+4 -

I guess we are more on a trek than in wars....no worries. We'll just have to expand our must watch space video list.

Dan C and Kristine,

This is the instruction at the top of the picture upload page for your profile.
"The upload function is optimized for Internet Explorer browsers. Users of other browsers have reported upload difficulties."
I use the foxfire browser and can verify that no picture upload would occur when using it.

What a shock to see the team drop so suddenly since I logged on this morning. Thanks for letting us know the details Kristine. I can understand. We did it before... and we can do it again! right!

What an achievement, Dan! Not to mention that you have rowed something like 200K meters just since Feb 26!

Savor the day!
