Hello All!

I see lots of new names. I'm an old time Lunatic who is an on the water rower, so don't erg so much April to Nov. I have also suffered some injuries over the past few years keeping me off the water, off the erg and off the forum.

I tore my calf muscle in September and am still recuperating. (I confess, I am taking it extra slowly as I want it to heal correctly and fully.) I have started erging and hope to be able to get in at least the 100k for the holiday challenge, but it all depends on what my leg tolerates.

I just wanted to say hi and good luck to everyone in the Holiday Challenge.

Karyn
Hi Karyn. Great to hear from you during this holiday time, and good to see you back. I am all for taking it slow to heal correctly and fully, a lesson I could have learned earlier. All the best during the Holiday Challenge... and otherwise.

Lunies - if you have a reindeer name in mind, please advise! Sometimes negotiations have to occur behind the scenes. It's all good. :D

Image Day 6 of 27...

Image

There is still time to begin the meter surge towards the Holiday Challenge goal. Just begin. Those meters will add up before you know it. And while you're working on the Holiday Challenge meters, amazing things happen! We have meter millionaires popping up almost every single day right now. Ken P just completed his first half marathon (and second). Gary threw down a full marathon. Again. That feeling of exhilaration upon accomplishing a feat that you might have thought was out of reach is something we don't find as easily as adults. What's always good is that everyone who ergs truly understands what it took for you and you and you to make that accomplishment.

Thank you, second one ever . This one was 30 seconds slower than the last one in 2017(getting older and slower). My wife broke my old marathon coffee mug and I needed a new one , the concept store only stays open in that year. So I got my my mug& probably burned off half my dinner !!!
She should have rowed one for your new mug.
Congratulations on finishing it, in almost the same time as 2 years ago.
