LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
JVC Luna-Tics: Team Progress Thru 1.13.09
Intercontinental tag game initiated! Deflector shields engaged! We must have encountered Starfleet on our way to the moon! How fun!
We're in 4th place overall today with 55 team members! We have picked up a bogey on our proverbial rowing tails! While Voodoogirl did entertain the idea of being a fighter pilot, managing the bogey(s) will indeed take the whole challenge team!

Congratulations to Angelo! I believe he was on row-about and has just returned to log in his meters with a whopping 114K posted today - which of course was far more than the 10,702 m he needed to check in at the million meter mark. New South Wales is his location!

BTW: C2 says no dice for any more Marathon mugs - so, I'm not the first Full Marathoner without a mug, I'm the first one with a pin!
Now, off to see what the erg has in store for me today ...

Kona2,
No HM, that's a combo row. Where do we pick up our tag deflector? Is this the new model with the Graffel Valve and the Brandendoodle capacitor?

Dave H: Hah! I'm sure that your time zone gives you some sort of devious head-start advantage ... early tag deflector? It's been fun, playing leap-frog on the JVC page ... but ... no way I'm going to post 22K+ tonight (even if you're done for Wednesday ... which is probably already Thursday, in the penal colonies!).Dave_H wrote: ... David H. ... tag, you're it ...
Thanks Chris... I had big plans tonight to finally join the 42k club... a buisness call at the 24k mark put that to rest.
Maybe tomorrow??? Dave
Good on'ya!

Major milestone
Congratulations on rowing a Million meters for this season Angelo!
Way to Row!
Way to Row!
So... I finally worked out that even though my team page listed me as a member of Luna-Tics all year, that this was only for challenges like this. Now resolved, and I am a certified (~able!?) card carrying team member at last!
Dan C, while you were procrastinating, and engaged in a deep discussion on the merits of various models of Tag Deflectors, you left your guard down and guess what...
Your It!!
Chris, there are many advantages to living down under, as you should remember... being ahead of the rest of the world is just one of them! Go the convicts!

Dave H,
As I remember from childhood it goes something like this.
I am rubber, you are glue. It bounces off me and sticks to you!
Dan C
You have to admit that's better than an old tag deflector.

A Request from Kona2!
New Zealand biking trip starts next Wednesday for me. I'll be gone for two weeks, and would like to ask team members to help out with the forum stats during that time period. If you are interested in doing this, send me a PM and we can coordinate from there. It's always good to hear from new voices, and see different approaches - the important thing is to cheer the team onward to the moon!
Season meters as of 260/365 = 49,395,597 m (thanks to a nice import of a fair amount of meters by new year round team member David H!)
Total meters on the day = 1,508,078 m (it always looks so COOL when we get a new team member!)
Oars in the water = 31 percent

Re: All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 1.14.09
Hey Kona2, you are going to love NZ especially the South Island! Not sure that 2 weeks is enough to cycle around and enjoy much of what it has to offer though - we just spent that long driving around the South Island in December, and wished we had allowed more time! There is some serious hill-work you will be doing, (although I guess you get plenty of that in Colorado too!) - we went past many a cyclist pushing their bikes up the longer steep hills...Kona2 wrote:

If you get the chance, do the 3 hour (return) jet-boat trip up the Wanaka river - it combines the thrills of the Jet Boat experience with the beauty of the area, and a great commentary by the Maori guide/ captain of the boat.
Enjoy!
