Hello Everyone!

I have not been on the forum in quite some time. In 2016 I had a shoulder injury that kept me off the water until the late spring of 2017. Then my district decided to move me to the Middle School (I'm a teacher). The Middle School starts earlier, so I had to be at work at 7:10. Since my rowing club gets off the water at 7:00 this limited my ability to row. :( I didn't row much until school got out in the spring of this year. I do miss being on the water. Since I wasn't rowing, I wasn't erging much either, hence my absence from the forum. I decided to try and do the 100k challenge this Holiday season to motivate me to erg more. Suddenly I was done with the 100k and still had a week and a half or so to go. I decided to push it and try to hit the 200k mark. Since I couldn't erg Thurs. morning, I decided to make it up Sat. with a half-marathon.

When I logged in today and saw the graphic and the comment about me mooning you, it made me smile. I love it. Thanks for the recognition.

Happy holidays to everyone! Even though I have been out of touch, I'm still proud to be a Luna-tic!

More Reindeer Bling!

Hooboy! We must be expecting a very foggy Christmas eve, because the ANTLER LIGHTS are popping up everywhere as Lunies and their reindeer bound across the 200K milestone, earn the charity match (now capped at its $45 K) and grab the Holiday Challenge pin!

Image Day 33 of 33...this is it! Reindeer at the ready...!

Wowzer, mates! I have NEVER seen Concept2 draw a hard line in the virtual sand when it comes to the total earned by the Concept2 universe...but then, I have never seen the universe earn the proposed total before the end of a Challenge either. So far, almost 9500 people have completed the 100 K Challenge and 3400 and change have completed the 200 K Challenge. Even the percentage of those who completed the 200 K Challenge is up significantly. What a Challenge Year this is turning out to be!!

We have several Lunies who are still within striking distance of their goals, so will do our team best to cheer them on and keep and eye on things (but it is busy, busy, busy here as I am sure it is at your location). Even if you have met the goal you wanted, perhaps you will give the erg a bit of a workout today anyway.

The day after. Get outside!

Image January Virtual Team Challenge....sign on...sign on...sign on!

We'll be flipping the virtual calendar page to January really soon, and even though the reindeer herd is still cooling its heels after the long journey, we're ready to start another Challenge Revolution. January brings us two challenges in one - an individual challenge where you can choose what your goal is for the month (time on the erg, distance, calories) and the team challenge. You do need to go to your logbook, scroll across to the teams segment, and select "Join Team" to participate in the Lunie Challenge Team. Starting January 1st, we'll be working hard to get our team moving up the river of other participants.

It's always nice to hear from you.
Congratulations on the Holiday Challenge.
Sorry that you can't row as much as you want, but that means you need to spend more time on the erg :P

Howdy Lunies...

Thanks for the call-out on the 1M season (been a while since I've had one of those...!)

We've had some hot days over here recently (40+ days). Over Christmas, Marble Bar. which is situated in the Pilbara Region of West Australia was 49.6 degrees - about 121 degrees for the fahrenheit people... :o

Good luck to all and I hope everyone has enjoyed the holiday break, however you celebrate it.

Cheers, Baz B)
