Image THURSDAY next....

Image And after the Summmmmr Solstice, we get into the lead in for the Fall Challenge....aka The Dog Days of Summmr. Actually, every day is a dog day here. Two Goldies currently close by...feet in air, snoozing away. Today is the day Bike Jeffco hosts a water station at the Denver Century Ride, and I'll be heading out shortly as some riders are sure to not wait for the official start of the ride. It will be a toasty day, too.

Thanks, everyone, for erging with us!

Thank you. Kona2, for noticing my return and for the warm welcome. Yesterday was my first day rowing since my surgery on April 20 2018 to repair a left inguinal hernia followed by a number of tests and consultations with the cardiologist and electro physiologist. I am very grateful for the excellent Training Video on the Concept2 website. I will be making regular use of it for a while, I suspect.

Image The Longest Day...and the shortest night!!

Good Day Sunshine! I'll Follow The Sun !! Yellow Submarine (and so we sailed on to the sun)! Here Comes The Sun (every camper groans...)! So many Beatles songs that have the word sun in the lyrics. And on the flip side, all that stars and moon and galactic stuff that gets us in trouble...there's Starman (David Bowie), Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (the earliest one you probably learned...and only as adults do you realize it's the same tune as singing the ABCs...and that's when your own kids are singing it to you and they intermix the lyrics), and naturally (naturally!) the Milky Way Galaxy song by Monty Python. Speaking of galaxies, Minnie is sure to tell us all about her adventure up to Mauna Kea's summit... we can call her Star Lord (or Queen of the Summit). Call this stream of consciousness.

Meanwhile, it's a soggy start to the day here in Colorado, but here comes the sun (for a few hours). Looks like many teammates took good advantage of Father's Day erging! We've got milestones, and mooning.

Image Tomorrow...tomorrow...tomorrow!

Following the everyday ritual of newspaper retrieval by Ball Girl Kai, is another tradition....reading the comics. While I usually highlight Bizarro or Speedbump, sometimes there's an oldie favorite that generates a belly laugh or a snort. My sense of humor is diverse. Today's hahaha comes from Pickles, featuring Opal and Earl, by cartoonist Brian Crane. Ask your newspaper syndicate to carry this one! PS - newspaper retrieval requires an actual, physical newspaper...but digital ones have their place.
