All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 3.22.18

Post by Kona2 » March 23rd, 2018, 10:06 am

Image Day 23 or 24 of 31....and I've slipped off the Concept2 Challenge Island....

Image Image Thanks, everyone!!

Yep, it was the exercise hangover that threw me off the Concept2 Challenge Island. Maybe you've had one of these before. Something about walking the golf course for 18, walking the dogs for over an hour, and getting my rowing done....did me in more than usual for the next day. And I haven't even added the bike in ... much. In truth, the past few days have been really, really busy with meetings. Tried to DO IT ALL. Oh well. There will be other challenges. Congratulations to those who are still maintaining an erg grip on this one!!

MILESTONES...Bragging Rights...Celebrations:

All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 3.23.18

Post by Kona2 » March 24th, 2018, 10:06 am

Image Day 24 or 25 (hemisphere dependent) of 31....entering the LAST week of the Challenge!!

Well Muddy Buddies, some good updates today AND a NEW teammate! Welcome to Emma! We wish you good camaraderie and happy erging as you pursue your erging goals!

Overall 5K continued participation (i.e., still in the Challenge Hunt) has dropped by 85 percent from the peak values seen in week 2 of the Challenge. The Lunies have lost just shy of 50 percent of those who started on the 5K path. Power of the team! The nerdy graphs continue in the background and will appear again soon.

Image Image Slippage...big team update elsewhere bumped us down a peg...but the sample is still shining!!

This has not been a good month for me to make regular rowing contributions, but I wanted
to give a shout-out to my fellow Lunies who are persevering through the March Mudness ...
though Hell should bar the way.

(That's right, a new treat coming for the David Drake fans.)

Thanks Danwho. March Mudness should be done for consecutive rowers tomorrow! Tough month, rowed through bronchitis, then pneumonia! Finally able to breathe again after treatments, inhalers, prednisone, etc. Barring the unforeseen, will reach Mudness nirvana tomorrow :D .

Oh, excellent. I hadn't noticed he has a new book in the RCN series. Due out soon, April 3 !
I'm sure that Adele, our Astrogator (aka: the lady with the weird braids) has it on pre-order!

April 3rd? Really?! I knew it was April...but oh happy day! Let me get that ordered....

Just returned from a REALLY fast trip to Nebraska on Saturday, back today. Lot of miles clicked by. Did not take my computer, so am catching up with numbers. Won't post until tomorrow.

Thanks much, Kona & BG! Hoping there's enough time to beat last year's season totals. Plan to do a long row or two early season, then cut mileage by half to do some tri training. A couple of longer on-water goals that I think triathlon training will help prepare for. Through with Mud Challenge, got it finished in consecutive days this year :D .

3 great rockers! Way to go.
I have 3 more days to remain muddy. That's today and 2 more. Dirty dirty boy. I am rowing at night which I don't like but a new habit I'm trying to develop.

Keep on rock'n folks.
