Thanks, boss! Sometimes I think a million metres is easy compared to all the work you put in compiling and reporting - with great flair - our results and accomplishments. Much appreciated!

woooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooo and congrats :]
Thanks, bg. I just noticed you're in Somerville - my parents were both living there when they met and I grew up in Winchester. My memories are a little faded, but I think I remember going to the first(?) Cold Stone Creamery in Davis Square as well as one of the first Legal Seafood restaurants also somewhere near Davis Square. These forums sure make it a small world ...

Good luck to you in all your superhuman sports endeavors!

Steve's - of course! Small shop with small ice cream makers behind the counter and in the window with a big marble slab where all the "magic" happenned with the mix-ins. Thanks for refreshing my memories.

Where's Thor?

Post by Thor MW » January 14th, 2018, 4:11 pm

Hey Lunes

I know, again I am floating about aimlessly in outer space. Well, I am on the injured list. My left shoulder has been bad since just before Christmas. The only time it hurts less is when I am reclining. Not necessarily a down side of course. I went to the doc and I am now waiting for results from both x-rays and ultrasound taken last week. I think it just might be a lot of tendon damage and very stiff knotted muscles. To this end I began doing yoga this morning. I think it might have helped a wee bit. The anti-inflammatory and pain pills don’t touch it at all. So, does the Mighty Thor become Yoga the bear? Does this make Janice Booboo? Is there a pic-a-nick basket requiring my attention someplace? Who and where is the Ranger? Hmm, ranger could be either Norma and or K2. Both have been known to give me a well deserved kick as needed.

Sorry guys.
Keep on rock’n.

A lot of benefits to yoga... Don't count yourself out yet, Thor. I'm told that a flexible hammer can be thrown twice as far. And a yoga hook at the end of the handle would probably do just the trick in snagging those pic-a-nick baskets.
Hope the doc has some good news.

Thor, sorry to hear about your injury. Remember that your an inspiration for all Lunies and hope healing comes sooner rather than later. On my end, started practicing Pilates for injuries about 10 years ago. Hope yoga, other interventions and healing thoughts from fellow Lunies help! Best, Steve W.

Dear all Luna-tics team friends, it's been exactly one year today since I bought my Concept 2 Model D. I used to run a lot but due to injuries and weather I stopped for a long time. I gained weight and my health deteriorated. After a lot of research, I decided to buy a rowing machine so I can work out without going out. (In case anyone is wondering, I paid USD 1,700 for my Model D locally.)

I'm still really slow and weak after one year and 1.2 million meters, but I've lost weight and feel better than ever. I want to thank Concept 2 and all the members here for keeping things fun and motivational. :) :) :)

Image Day 15 of 31....we're in spot 14 ! Things are looking up!

Am in the land of the saguaro cactus - so will have to find a rower to use at the local gym. Fifty degree (F) swing in temperature differences between Denver and Tucson. One of the best things about virtual teams is that you can be connected wherever you might have landed. No initiation fee required. Hahahaha.

4 More canoes in the virtual waters!
