Welcome to the team ATX33! This hawk just wanted to hang out in the back yard today, I believe he is a coopers hawk and was trying to feed at the bird feeder, just not bird seed but small birds :( But what a beauty! My Summer has been revolving around training for a race to the the top of Mary Jane mtn in Winter park for this weekend, but I was humbled a couple days ago with a sleight tear to the lower calf muscle so running is now out of the cards and my race :( :( But the calf doesn't seem to get strained to much on the rower so think I will settle back into light weights and rowing..Kona hope you enjoy your ride, looks like some cool weather.
great photo and so sorry about your injury :[ sending lots of healthy/healing thoughts....

Dan who, you are correct. I live in Austin, TX and the 33 was the most common jersey number I wore playing sports back in the day.
My DDIL's brother is also an Austinite. He was here, in San Francisco, over the weekend, and just drove home. (Long drive!) Austin sounds like a great place to live.

All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 9.13.17

Post by Kona2 » September 14th, 2017, 7:38 pm

Image Tomorrow...tomorrow....TOMORROW!

I'll be thinking about the team and all those meters getting produced by the Lunie Fall Challenge Team as the miles and kilometers pass under my two wheels. Let's see....theoretically, I would get 284.84 kilometers...or 284,840 m....whoa. That's a boatload. I'm excited that this ride route is close to Denver, so even if rural there is hope that pictures can be posted. We are going to be in cattle country, but with all the pulled pork they will be serving, there must be a pig farm here or there. This will be tour de farm and what is THAT smell....get the olfactory meter all tuned up. I haven't packed my ride bag yet, but have all the stuff out and ready to go through the final sorting. In the past, I have taken way too much stuff. But as Doug noted, this ride is supposed to turn a bit cooler on Saturday and Sunday so I may throw in some layers. I'm going to be looking for that bike jersey that says Suck It Up Buttercup for next year. Got my hoodie on order. Snort.

The Fall Team Challenge is here!!! You can feel the electricity in the air. I think we're ready. Let's do this.
If anyone needs a reminder, you sign up for the Fall Team Challenge by going to the Teams tab of your Logbook (https://log.concept2.com/team), select the LUNA-TICS team, and that you want to participate in this challenge. Your Team selection for Challenges is a separate thing from your normal Team Affiliation.

Image Meanwhile, K2 is challenging herself on Pedal the Plains, and as I udder-stand it, this year it's a seriously no-nonscents challenge.

Day 1 is in the books- no sag wagon, but I thought about it. My favorite quote of the day happened early on. Two gals rode by and one said "my allergies are killing me! I'll warn you before I blow the harbor's clear honk." The other gal says "that's ok. I'm more of a hack and spit gal myself - just like my grandma." Then in Sherpaville, all our tents have names. Mine is C2- so close. The guy's next to me is SANE. I'm so glad. Snort.

Hi Team

Still in the 110's over here and the dust is really bad this year. Allergies kicking in big time. So I stay in and watch movies rowing. Today I surpassed 43 million lifetime meters. Been a fun and rewarding journey.

Keep having fun on your adventure K2 it sounds like fun!

Happy Rowing,

Ed
