Thanks of the well wishes. And yes, it is planned. I am trying for 10,000 a day average but am a little behind given other fun physical activities of the summer. For those around RI, the East Bay Bike path near Providence is a real treat.

BTW, Orion says he saw the train in the picture in Essex, Montana on his cross country Amtrak trip. It is an EMD F45. It has been converted to a hotel room and you can sleep in the cab.

Meanwhile, summmrrr is moooving along. Color changes starting up in the very high country (around Leadville, Turquoise Lake). Sigh. Get your fall leaf-viewing plans set up! Make sure you include planning for time for the Fall Team Challenge!

Yes I did watch video very nice area spent a lot of time at Misguamicut Beach. When I was younger. By Eric Burton & the Animals

After that I did a cross fit workout. Here is how it went. Power clean 105 pounds every minute for 16 minutes. First minute you do 1 rep 2nd minute you do 2 3rd 3 so on up to 16 minutes . It was very very tough for this old man. Point of this is I have been losing weight but it is the aging factor Muscle. So to fight father time i will do less cardio and more weight lifting. The other day when bringing in groceries a young man walked bye asked if I needed any help  I said no but thank you anyways. Where was this kid when I needed to move all my furniture when they did floors

You hear the sound of many wings moving rhythmically through the air first...and then the bird flash mob flies overhead. Hundreds of blackbirds are flocking (as they do every year) and descending upon backyard bird feeders, taking up residence in nearby trees. Kind of creepy in a Hitchcock movie way. Fall is getting closer!

By now, Minnie and her bike erg should be getting acquainted. I can't wait to hear how this goes!

I also thought I'd already be spinning along, but today is the day. Tracking shows that it's "out for delivery."
Got my handlebar bell, padded shorts, and cushy gel bike seat, all ready to go. The excitement mounts.

Did not even realize it until seeing here. Thank you, one & all!

40 mile Race For The Rivers on Saturday put a chunk of meters in the pot. Was focused on this one, with the goal of breaking 5 hours. Finished in 4:51, taking 1 hour 5 minutes off of last year's time for the same course. Know it was a good effort, shoulders and core just starting to recover. If I ever beat this time, it'll be measured in minutes & seconds, not by the hour. Lots of good people out there looking out for each other, proud to be associated with them :D .
