On the Water Bonus Meters?

Post by just27 » June 12th, 2017, 6:52 pm

Alaska was stunning, but, it's going to take a while for me to reconcile to not having 8 meals a day, cappuccino 24/7, and someone turning down the duvet with a chocolate. I discovered a lovely new Concept2 erg in the fitness center, two days before the end of the cruise, (hunkered down between the spin bikes and treadmills) but, oddly, I never did log any meters! In between hiking, biking, zip lining, and lurching across glaciers, there was a two-mile canoe trip across a recently frozen lake ... gale force headwinds, white-capped waves, and horizontal rain. Lots of fun (well, memorable, anyway) and, I do think I should be able to claim double on-the-water meters due to the trauma of possible swamping, and death by hypothermia!

You asked, a few times. You got it!

Post by Thor MW » June 12th, 2017, 8:24 pm

Hey K2 and the gang. I finally got a pic up on the profile. I am even framed. Can you ask for more? I think not! haha.
Now you can see I am still as cute as the last time I saw me when I was 9. Ok, so I have shades now and not the big thick glasses but other than that I haven't changed a bit.
Enjoy.

Wooo hooo, look at you!!! Did that once, but somehow I've become more risk-averse lately. Sounds like you had plenty of excitement and activity.
Cappuccino 24/7 would be good for me, and maybe some prosecco before dinner. That would be my kind of cruise.
Welcome back, Minnie!!

A frame put together by a mighty hammer, no doubt...

Not sure what to make of that picture, Minnie. Was that part of an excursion, or an unlawful exit from the ship? I seem to be picking up "You'll never catch me" in your facial expression. :D Alaska cruise on my list too...

Congratulations on those big lifetime meters, David and Will !!

High five indeed--great test results--still in complete remission. :D

Unfortunately, my doctor said "Let's keep up the fight!" I was hoping he'd say that we could back off a little.

Thanks for all the good luck wishes.

Richard, thanks for all those lucky 7s while I was gone.
Well I'm Glad they helped. Now if only they would help Corky. Norma says I should take Sewing classes

Yep, I was building a gate. I thought it was funny when I was carrying it across the yard and said Like a picture I am framed. Out came the camera. I miss doing that sort of stuff so it was fun. Tried to post one of me playing the guitar and it came up sideways. Don't know how to fix that.

Oh, you just need to turn sideways, and try again. But be sure to turn sideways in the right direction, or else you will be upside down. Oh yeah, and watch out for the cake that says "Eat me."
