In Australia many of the private schools have a cadet unit that is sponsored by the Australia Army, and TomO has his sights set on a military career.
Following is a couple of pictures of Lance Corporal O'Malley...!

7th ! And closing in on TEN million Challenge Team meters!!
Meanwhile, with 22 or 23 days remaining in the 2017 Erging Season, our contestants are making a run for the roses! Naturally (naturally!), this is also the same time of the season where the "if only" thoughts start to pop into your brain. If only I (or you ) had done 5,000 m a day....the total would be 1.7 to 2.5 MM....If only 7,500 m a day...the total would be 2.55 to 3.4 MM....and if only 10K a day...the total would be EVEN bigger than 3.4 MM. But that's not always how we roll, is it?! Sometimes we're just deadline driven from day one (I'm sure it's genetic...). Still, there are some who may surprise us! (This is welcome.)
MILESTONES...Bragging Rights...Celebrations:

It's going to be 20 plus miles in an open ocean race....... The Blackburn Challenge. That is the main reason I'm racking up the meters.
