In Australia many of the private schools have a cadet unit that is sponsored by the Australia Army, and TomO has his sights set on a military career.

Following is a couple of pictures of Lance Corporal O'Malley...!

All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 4.6.17

Post by Kona2 » April 7th, 2017, 10:09 am

Image 7th ! And closing in on TEN million Challenge Team meters!!

Meanwhile, with 22 or 23 days remaining in the 2017 Erging Season, our contestants are making a run for the roses! Naturally (naturally!), this is also the same time of the season where the "if only" thoughts start to pop into your brain. If only I (or you ) had done 5,000 m a day....the total would be 1.7 to 2.5 MM....If only 7,500 m a day...the total would be 2.55 to 3.4 MM....and if only 10K a day...the total would be EVEN bigger than 3.4 MM. But that's not always how we roll, is it?! Sometimes we're just deadline driven from day one (I'm sure it's genetic...). Still, there are some who may surprise us! (This is welcome.)

A look back in the Lunie Chronicles (we're in our tenth year of Lunie-hood, mere babes in the virtual world!)...and the way our journey has evolved....shows that early on we would call out the top three "podium" spots for the day depending upon meters accumulated. Chris, as she was called then (and still is in most circles) routinely rowed half marathons, and often claimed a top podium spot. In searching for a graphic that would represent this California gal, one who was clearly head of "state"...well...this was Minnie, queen of the boat.

Image

As you can see, her true nature is probably closer to the graphic that danwho has put together.....00 Minnie....

Image

There is no planning of these things....they just happen...Shaun can relate...

It's going to be 20 plus miles in an open ocean race....... The Blackburn Challenge. That is the main reason I'm racking up the meters. :)
