Thanks Kona!!! Golf is at a halt raining unbelievably here, more than ever. Course is a big pond... can't play so getting some meters in. Will miss one day traveling Wednesday. Golfing Pebble, Spyglasss end of week, and wife surprised me with afternoon at Cyprus after Spyglass. I'm sooooo looking forward to it!Kona2 wrote:
Whoop, whoop and what an amazing streak of milestones! Ed's generating his own celebration party just about every week with his additions to his meter vault! Guessing that he will have generated enough meters by June for the around the equator milestone (that I think only David A and Richard T can claim at the moment). Congratulations, Ed, on achieving an EIGHT million meter erging season! We wish you many, MANY more milestones! And we thought he was taking more time for golf...

EIGHT THOUSAND participants! WOW!
Ah, the lure of free loot! The Erging Universe has topped 8,000 participants in the 5K a day bunch (54 Lunies), and 3,200 participants in the 10K a day bunch (37 Lunies). The more days you "play", the greater your chances of making the winners list! Make no mistake...you are WORKING for this stuff, especially as the days tick by...and you want to take a day off...
Sprinkles vs jimmies...apparently a debate! Who knew!? I'd not heard of jimmies (are only the chocolate, rat doodie ones, jimmies?). At least the Leprechaun Names produced some new learning for me - other than the knowledge that Lunies silently prefer their shamrocks and pots of gold. Snort. Team entertainment is an inexact science. Hahahaha.

The Leprechaun Names chart also produced some riotous fun for the 6 y/o, who figured out the new and hilarious monikers for the entire family ... then for every BFF in her kindergarten class. Shamrocks optional.Kona2 wrote:... At least the Leprechaun Names produced some new learning for me - other than the knowledge that Lunies silently prefer their shamrocks and pots of gold. Snort. Way to rockem Andrew!!!
On another muddy note. I think there will be a lot of people dropping off tomorrow. Not necessarily Lunes as I was just looking at the whole list. A lot of people have 1 day in. I think they can only have 6 days off? So keep on rock'n Lunes and win something.
Have fun.

5 of 6 for 5k row days though!
All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 3.7.17
Day 8 or 9 of 31....and we have 9500 plus participants in the 5K portion of the Challenge! In - cred - i- ble !
A look back at the Concept2 Chronicles shows that the Grand Finale numbers at the end of the 2016 Challenge were pretty good...1251 finishers at the 5K a day level, and 500 at the 10K a day level. And how did the Lunies do last year? 28 finished at the 5K level, and a solid dozen at the 10K level. Right now, we have 57 Lunie participants at the 5K level, and a subset of 38 at the 10K level. So. Sounds like we're in for a precipitous drop in numbers in the next few days...drama!
The Mudness winners list has been updated - and Concept2 is changing it up from previous years with a second 10K day having been awarded already. Still, you NEVER know when these could happen, so best be prepared. No Lunie winners yet...
