Hahaha! Well Citroen, you've followed the Concept2 Forum for a really long time...we use the Shamrocks to designate a 5K contribution to the Challenge...whatever day they occur in March. Somehow a dollup of mud just looks like a puppy landmine...so we go for more color. Thanks for popping in to the forum pages!
Btw, I grow shamrocks year round!

Whoa. That might be worth BOTH a shamrock and a pot of gold!

Happy Saint David's Day, indeed. But, can you spell the name of that North Wales train station, without looking it up? I get as far as Llanfairpwll ... ...

Daffodils are good.
Hula hula! Minnie has been doing some good research (the lure of travel strikes again!)...and true to form coming up with a spelling bee word so long that you might have to pause and take in some more air during its recitation....whew. Nothing like a March hare bunny trail!
From Google and Wiki:
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (lan-vire-pool-guin-gith-go-ger-u-queern-drob-ooth-clandus-ilio-gogo-goch) is a Welsh word which translates roughly as "St Mary's Church in the Hollow of the White Hazel near a Rapid Whirlpool and the Church of St. Tysilio near the Red Cave". The name was coined as a publicity gimmick in the 1860s by concatenating the names of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll ("St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel"), the nearby hamlet of Llantysilio Gogogoch ("the church of St Tysilio of the red cave"), and the chwyrn drobwll ("rapid whirlpool") between them.
concatenating - the action of linking things together in a series. There will be a spelling test later this week. Memorization is good for the brain.

Day 3 or 4 of 31 (hemisphere dependent)...
Mud season appeals to us! In fact, for the Erging Universe, there are 5,600 participants currently. It is only day 3 (or 4), and there will be a big drop off as the Challenge continues. Plan your "no erging days" carefully to give yourself the opportunity to complete the Challenge of 25 out of 31 days.
There are 50 Lunies making progress in the Challenge! Will you be a Challenge winner?! Can you stay the course!? We've had one, and sometimes two, lucky teammates almost every year! Here's a link to the winners chosen so far:

Maybe something involving marshmallow fluff, you're thinking?
Saturday? I'm with Maggie Smith in Downton Abbey ... "what is a weekend?"

It was the annual meeting of the Colorado Womens' Golf Association...held on a Saturday so that attendees didn't have to take a day off.
Madness....simply Mudness Madness....Day 4 or 5 of 31! Can you stay the course!
Meanwhile, there are 53 Lunies on the Progress Board for the Mudness Madness Challenge, and two thirds (36) of our Lunie contestants are in at the 10K a day level! Wowzer! There are OVER 7,100 participants in the Erging Universe and 2,700 of them are participating at the 10K a day level. The Erging Universe has so many more people (and that is such a good thing!) in it these days. In years past, we might have seen 2000 or 2500 people participating...to be almost THREE times that level...is amazing. If someone knows where to see how many people are in the 2017 Erging Community, please advise. I don't know where to see that info with the new redesign. Personally, I hope Concept2 sells a whole BUNCH of new erging machines and that lots of gyms get new ones. Those black Concept2 rowing machines look pretty fancy....this is how it begins....
