Congratulations to Andrea C on getting her canoe off the shore ... and into the virtual waters. Having your own canoe with flood waters in California....a good thing!

Yep - sure looks Holstein-like to me, too. But virtual means data clouds...

The photo that served as your model is one of me singing at a charity event, where I performed along with some other members of the Chicago Bar Association Chorus and others. Yes, lawyers in Chicago like music and our performances have been well received. I am pictured either acting the HIgh Priest from the Magic Flute performing "Isis und Osiris" or singing "I've Got Plenty of Nothin" from Porgy and Bess. I don't recall which piece at this time 2 years later. In any event, "I've Got Plenty of Nothin" more accurately describes my circumstances! Tom R (tombeur)

Easy to confuse those two pieces ...
Very cool that you sing at charity events.
(And, now I have "Plenty of Nothin'" stuck in my head for the rest of the day!)

Not such a bad piece to have stuck in your head--one of Gershwin's many greats! (I don't remember which piece I was singing because someone else was taking the pictures and didn't identify the music with the picture. I performed both pieces at this event. As Bud Herseth, the legendary first trumpet with the Chicago Symphony once put it, there are two kinds of music--good and bad--and good music comes in all styles.)
