I love it, thanks AJ! An even closer likeness than the canoe, I don't wear my glasses on the erg, I only need them for driving. There is one small problem though, I now live in Straya, and I don't recognise the flag on the back of the boat

Would it be possible to have it changed, I'm guessing Angelo has one that could be copied.

We're chasing full moons from Qatar to Straya! Norma adds a paddle to her boat, and Stuart and Janice are getting ever so close to the ONE million meter milestone for the season. Dozens of teammates in the waters, and we're making progress...pretty close to the SEVEN million meter mark in the Challenge.

...and with 15 or 16 days to go...depending upon south or north hemisphere!

Yep, it had been noticed (even before you woke up this morning!) that you'd changed continents and hemispheres. The appropriate Southern Cross is currently somewhere between California and Colorado. AUS - USA ... same letters, different position; the primer youtube will be helpful in recognizing the basic differences ...

It is the link? Haven't a clue...but it was a fun curiosity to explore.

One of the songs on Paul Simon's Graceland album is Under African Skies, a song that not only speaks to the stars in the Southern Hemisphere, but also makes reference to an iconic image that I am familiar with...the Mission San Xavier del Bac....and one of Tucson AZ's most famous singers....Linda Ronstadt.


San Xavier del Bac..the White Dove of the Desert....is famous for its unfinished tower. Still run by the Franciscans, and a beautiful place to visit.

Minnie gets the the prize for coming up with the answer that I was thinking of. I'm impressed, I did not really think it was common knowledge, or something that would easily fall out of a Google search!

I first loved the Simon and Garfunkel songs as a child, my uncle used to have "Bridge over Troubled Water", and we listened to the tape all through our summer holidays. Then my father bought "There Goes Rhymin' Simon" for my sister's birthday because the guy in the store told him that is what kids listen to these days. Over the next few years I forgot Paul Simon and got heavily into South African music (my mother comes from there, and I got to visit a few times). When Graceland came out, it was like a dream come true, suddenly the styles I loved went mainstream!

I now have my playlist for today's row, Graceland followed by as much of Paul Simon's repertoire as I can last for
