Too funny - had to get a picture of one of Minnie's tagged secret agents....although I think she'd say...it's what's for dinner.
Dinner!!??? All that 007 needs is a little secret agent accessorizing ...
Hah! Lovely picture; gotta get me some of those shades.
I didn't notice the "007" ear tag, first time around. I'd NEVER eat a fellow agent ... though, does one actually eat bulls? I don't think I've ever seen "bull" under plastic wrap, in the grocery store. Though, heaven only knows what I might have eaten in the occasional hot dog. The elder PGB (princess grand baby) requested her upcoming birthday dinner be mac-n-cheese --"from the blue box, please, not made from scratch""-- and either breakfast sausage links, or hot dogs. I might be eating 00-bull (albeit, unknowingly) on Thursday!
Welcome to incoming Lunies ... just in time for the Fall Challenge ...

This summer the 15 hour days are kicking my butt! I still look forward to my rowing ( my time) each night... Tonight I achieved 33million lifetime meters. Not getting them as fast as I have in the past - but still, achieving! The temps have been brutal 125-130's not going to lie it takes a lot out of you. Glad my rowing is inside... Haha
Looking forward to November to go home for 3 weeks' 8 months away is not fun either... Not complain cuz technology does its best to keep us connected, but as all of you know not the same!
Hope you all were able to relax for Labor Day! Not to get political - but I will always stand with hand over heart for our flag.
Happy Rowing,
Ed
Any end to the 15 hour days coming? Only 33MM? That's all? Grin. Way to go man!!!
Be proud!!!
The not that nearly Mighty Thor.

PaRowlympics
September 7–18
The PaRowlympics Challenge coincides with the Paralympic Games and is for adaptive rowers only. This challenge celebrates the spirit and competition of the Games: represent your country by earning virtual medals (gold, silver, bronze) for the number of hours rowed. Hour totals are cumulative and do not need to be completed in one sitting.
The Details
Meet the following hour totals during the challenge dates.
Gold 7 hours
Silver 5 hours
Bronze 3 hours
We have several adaptive teammates - and know that each of them is very capable of cranking out a bunch of meters, and a lot of hours erging! Good luck to all with the medal chase!

Yes, I'm back. The new, more conservative me. Trying to figure out a chronically sore elbow, possibly from too much rowing a few months back. Looking now to trade up some rowing meters for some other things like yoga. Sigh. But now it's the PaRolympics, and then the team challenge. Have to work on some time and meters for those for sure.

It is always good to ease into this erging business. We all get caught up in generating mega numbers from time to time, and sometimes it haunts us for months. We would much rather have our teammates stick around for a long while at lesser meters.

Sage advice. Seems I have to learn these things the hard way, and make the same mistakes multiple times. lol. I do tend to get sucked into the "more is better" thing. THX.

Capped off with a video of the 2001 2K erg race between Matthew Pinsent and James Cracknell - so we all know how hard we should be pushing.
Thanks for sharing Dan, Lots of good pointers in this article for improving our rowing skills.

Fall Team Challenge....just a week away!!!
Meanwhile, we have a new neighborhood challenge....Pepe le Pew has been hanging around. So far, two neighborhood dogs have been sprayed. Fortunately, had the dogs on leashes a couple of nights ago while Pepe sauntered on by about 8 feet beyond the back fence. The dogs REALLY wanted to go check this out. Oh no...no ...no. Still. I went by Petsmart and picked up two bottles of Nature's Miracle Skunk Deodorizer....must be the season as they were buy one, get one half off. I figure this is a matter of when, not if. After the second spray incident, I googled "what are skunks good for" and discovered that we have prime food groups to attract these stink bombs....they like mice, rats, and rattlesnakes among other things. No wonder since all those things are plentiful in the "serengeti" behind me. I hope Pepe likes my neighbor's gardens better than mine...

Sorry I am having trouble doing a post for some reason.
A wee little birdy just sang in my shell like ear that our very own Thomas Rafter just hit a lifetime 2 million meters on the ski erg. I have no doubt that this is more difficult than the row machines. Either way, you are a hero man!!!! You really do look great in the cape. The tights? Well? Um... haha.
Just keep on going.

Blue sky day...birds are flying high...and Thor's hearing tweets! Not sure where you can locate the ski erg meters for a teammate - although I do know that you can see their lifetime meters by clicking on your teammate's name in the affiliation page. Congrats to Tombeur on a stellar achievement of 2 Million Ski-Erg meters - contributing to his 17+ million meters in the meter piggy bank...diversification.
Congratulations to E Vos and Thor for earning the GOLD medal in the PaRowlympics!
