Dan....what happened to the Fibonacci numbers!?
Kona2,
The only fibonacci numbers that work by giving a reasonable number of meters are 1,1,2,3,5. Down the list you may be able to 1 or 2 numbers that would work, but that wouldn't be as much fun as 5 in a row.
Dan C
12358 m isn't much further, and is also 5 in a row.
(I actually stopped my car on the side of the road to take a picture of my odometer at 112358 miles
. Nobody else in my family appreciated how cool it was

Very cool, David A !! I suspect there are many of us who can relate to both stopping the vehicle to take a picture of the odometer as well as taking a picture of the erg monitor ! Dan C is the one who reminded me that he was doing the fibonacci series....it was info that was buried in my brain with binary numbers and the like! Hey - if we didn't really get into numbers, we wouldn't record them so daily !!!!

Extraordinary! If you'd asked me, I'd have guessed that Fibonacci was a type of pasta ... not a huge fan of math, so had to look it up:
The first number of the sequence is 0, the second number is 1, and each subsequent number is equal to the sum of the previous two numbers of the sequence itself, yielding the sequence 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, etc.
Way cool, indeed. I now feel better prepared for first contact.

Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking I've used 11235 now I have to go to next 5 in a row and but I stopped when 3 in a row came to 81321. Didn't think I was up to it.
Geat idea to take the pic of the odometer, I never would thought of it but I certainly appreciate what and why you did it. Did you save the picture? Another reason to buy a new car. I'm sure the Princess will understand. LOL

To All:
Since we are being a little silly today I have little bank humor for you.
To My Bank:
Dear Sirs,
In view of what seems to be happening internationally with banks at the moment, I was wondering if you could advise me. If one of my checks is returned marked "insufficient funds," how do I know whether that refers to me or to you?
I heard on the radio this weekend that now, if you buy a toaster you get a bank for free.
Dan C
PS: I don't make'em up I just pass 'em om.

Gina 6,662 m (the reverse the numbers trick)
Actually neither of these number sequences were planned! On Wed, I only had about 10 minutes so I did what I could, 2226. Yesterday I had more time, so feeling better I decided to row low and slow and see if I could last 30 minutes. I did attempt to manage the cool-down to see if I could hit 6662 and I did! Not sure how much time I'll have tonite.

It's going to be a short rowing week for me, so I wouldn't hold my breath on 2 million meters until early next week. I'll be traveling before and after Thanksgiving to spend the Holiday with family. For those of you celebrating the holiday on Thursday...
Have a Great Thanksgiving, Luna-Tics!
