May 10: this day in history:
1291 - Scottish nobles recognize the authority of King Edward I of England in mediating resolution of the succession crisis created by the death of King Alexander III of Scotland five years earlier.
Okay, I saw the movie... I guess May 10 is about the perils of greed and ...

Hey guys. I'm still alive. Just out of the game for a bit. Hoping to be back in the saddle soon. Like tomorrow would be good. I still wanna get a few half moons in there. We will see what the current not so mighty Thor can do about it. Then back to my interval training. Not big meters but very big effort.
I missed the happy mommy's day but I am saying it nowK2.
Have fun all and keep on rock'n.

For you horse racing enthusiasts, we are now approaching Step 3
in our Horse Race Challenge.... The Preakness.
... So get ready to put some shine on your lucky shoes.
1. Row or ski-erg 10K or more in a day to get your horse (will accept the horses up until the day before the Kentucky Derby)
2. Row or ski-erg 10K or more in a single day during the week of the Kentucky Derby (May 1 - May 7)
3. Row or ski-erg 9500 m or more in a single day during the week of the Preakness (May 14 - May 21)
4. Row or ski-erg 12,000 m or more in a single day during the week of the Belmont Stakes (June 1 - June 7)
5. Hope your horse is the lucky winner of one or more of these races - for lucky Bragging Rights
It appears we already know that some of us will not have his/her alter-ego running in the Preakness, like Brody's Cause (Jim M) or Suddenbreakingnews (Salvador), but it seems we will be seeing Exaggerator (Jane and Derric) and Lani (Norma). Exaggerator had quite the finish in the Derby, even if it wasn't enough to make Nyquist blink ... that time.
http://www.drf.com/news/preakness-brody ... ont-stakes
But hey, whether we're in it or not, we're always in it to win it. They don't call us LUNA-TICS for nothing.
As the race draws closer, I hope to hear some wisdom straight from the horse's mouth - Nyquist (Richard), that is.

NASA Finds 1,284 Alien Planets, Biggest
Haul Yet, with Kepler Space Telescope
http://www.space.com/32850-nasa-kepler- ... anets.html
I know that our friendly astrogator always keeps an eye out for another habitable planet. And none other than Stephen Hawking thinks it is imperative and urgent that we abandon Earth, or face extinction. I'm sure that issue will be coming up in the Presidential debates.
So I figure it's good news that we have 1284 more choices. But we'll have to keep in mind that this time we'll be the ExtraTerrestials.
I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.
(Bet you didn't know that Tennessee Williams wrote the original screenplay for E.T.)
