Okay, here are some pics showing how I wrap the handles with nylon. First set gives you an idea of the steps, and the last set shows the newly wrapped left side and the right side that has been on for a couple of weeks and has come loose (doesn't look as nice when it gets like that, but it still works perfectly). I sweat like crazy when I row, and find the nylon really keeps my grip feeling dry and my fingers blister free. Hope it can help a couple of LUNA-TICS out there, too. ~Peter

P.S. I leave the handle sitting where it is in the photos when I wrap them now, pulled tight against the C2 frame. First time wrapping them I had the handle sitting in the handle hook, and the chain tension ended up snapping the handle hard into the frame when I pulled up a little too hard during one of my passes with the duct tape

That's the level of detail I wanted to see ! Thanks for taking time to get the photos and post them!

Some of the other handle grip aids teammates have told us about are:

Kristine used an old wetsuit - I guess the arms fit nice and snug over the handles.

Many of us use gloves (I use this word loosely) made by New Grip, advertised for both rowing and weightlifting.

Team Progress Thru 3.22.16

Post by Kona2 » March 23rd, 2016, 10:07 am

Image Image 30 Lunies stayin alive! Yes, it's true we lost 9 percent of our valiant stayin alive teammates at the stroke of midnight...and there are a couple more in danger today. Tough to stay a little ahead of the plasma cannons ready to blast us into space dust if we don't make the 5000 or 10K meter deposits into our meter piggy banks! The overall progress board also took a five percent hit...dropping below 1600 with 85 vaporizations.

Ah spring time in Colorado. We're currently experiencing a blizzard...and it was 73 degrees here yesterday. Today, the powers that be have invoked Colorado's new traction law which requires that vehicles use chains, snow tires, 4WD or AWD...in the METRO area. Most unusual!

What is usual in Easter time frame? Murdoch's, a ranch supply store near here, gets these babies! Click on the photo.... Image

Ah, but don't click on the photo in a crowded doctors' waiting room unless you want to create quite a stir. This is the voice of experience speaking.

Awesome, hopefully it made everyone a little more chirpy :D
We have a Murdochs a couple blocks from my house, and last year when I was there my wife called and asked what I was doing, I told her just checking out the chicks at Murdochs :D
A nice little blizzard we have today, just spent 2 hours shoveling out mine and my neighbors driveway. It's a very heavy wet snow. Contractors cancelled work today so after I recover from shoveling it's to the erg I go.....and then back to shoveling again...makes for a great day off.

Hooboy....lotta snow in a short time.

Post by Kona2 » March 23rd, 2016, 6:01 pm

Like Doug, took a break from shoveling to get my meters done, and it was a slow slog! Dogs enjoying the snow day as much as some of the humans.

Kai is about 6 and a half months old now - and probably 3/4 grown. Definitely a snow dog - sitting in one of the mega drifts in the backyard...maybe 20 inches in the front of the house, but up to 4 feet in places in the back. Amazing how quick all that piled up, and while it is still snowing...it is slowing down. As Minnie says...onwards!

I clicked it while still at work. And right away, a line started to form.
