Another episode...
Sigh. The pigeon poop was flying! A drawback of solar panels here is that they provide such a nice, toasty roost for the pigeons. Jesse, the cat, sat for hours by the fireplace as he could hear the bird noises, flapping wings...was SURE that one of those pigeons would be within reach. Me, I looked at the growing mounds of pigeon debris and feathers, and knew that corrective action needed to happen before total nesting was taking place. A crew came out with high pressure hoses to get the debris out from under the array, and installation of a stainless steel mesh coated with PVC began. The usual battle between nature and progress, only this time no actual birds were harmed...and the solar array is protected from destructo-birds.

Congratulations on 42MM, Richard !!!
And thanks for the education on Noor. I don't know if it's just me, but I didn't know about Noor. I knew about Citation, but not Noor, which seems strange. I saw in Wikipedia that Noor is Arabic for Light - pretty cool ... the speed of Light.
And Wikipedia also talked about moving the remains to Old Friends in Kentucky.

Teammates -
I am taking a break for a few days. In fact, if another person would like to take on the astrogator reins, I am glad to relinquish them. I have been doing this for eight years, and find that I do not have time each day to do a proper job of it - no matter how much automation occurs.
Best regards,
K2

You know I think you are wonderful. I hope someone does step up as 8 years is quite enough. Although I will miss your little stories.
