Doesn't it seem weird or insane that we cheerfully row, row, row, when in the past, people were condemned to row as punishment for crimes or perceived crime :o
this reminds of the running t-shirt that says 'my sport is your sport's punishment'

and glad you are feeling better thor :]

and great rowing everyone :)

annnnnnnnnd........thanks soooooooooo much k2 :}}}}}} btw...should be a good football game .....goooooooooooo pats:]

Poor K2 whittling on the front porch in this weather.

I love that the Lunes have the highest per member average of the top 5 teams, 169,202m. The more we all row, the higher this number will go. Very exciting that we all have an impact on this number.

10 days left. Crank it up folks. Rock'n row!!!!
I know I'll be playing catch up right to the end of this challenge.

TWENTY-ONE teammates have milestones to celebrate today - gotta love Challenges because they sure bring out the beast in all of us! Way to go, Lunies! And, on the Challenge front, Moon River is sporting 42 canoes - which actually breaks out into FIVE tubs, 22 paddles, and 15 canoes....with MANY more lined up on the boat launch ramp ready to hit the virtual waters. Obviously no water wings needed with this crowd!

LOVE MY TUB - hat and Seahawks! Thanks

Gum abscess and exercise.

Post by Thor MW » January 23rd, 2016, 7:09 am

Well it appears I am not only the occasional mighty Thor but yes a swell guy too. Well, my right side of my gums are swollen anyway. I just read a bunch of sites asking if I should exercise while I have this infection. For the most part the answer is no. It may help the infection spread and I don’t want any part of that. There is no justice. There is only 8 days left and I don’t know when I should row again. I will see a dentist as soon as I can but meanwhile I will take yet more time off. Insert very frustrated noises here. I am sorry my friends.
Now then if everyone would just row around 500M extra every day, that should more than make up for the meters I am not putting in right now. Grin.
Have fun all and keep on rock’n.

Cow humor

Post by Kona2 » January 23rd, 2016, 11:35 am

Not sure who wrote this cartoon, or I would surely give credit...just some offbeat stuff to start your day. Have captured the numbers, see that we have two new canoeists (John M and Chad), and will get the posting done later! But ...first...must stare in astonishment at THREE full moons from Tristan, Tammy and Roger! WOW! Way to get into the 400Ks and within striking distance of the coveted bathtub brigade!
