terry and I did the 1500 as a sharpening for racing on Saturday
mine @1:44.4 and terry's 1:53.3 both left a little in the tank - we are number one boat at the moment
I am pleased to be in front of Allan and Frank for the moment
(Martin both just a tad under 2k pace although I am hoping to be about there on Saturday and left a little in the tank)

Well done, and thanks for the info Lindsay. I'll do the 1,5k soon, but at the moment bad hay fever aggravates me, UT2 training is halfway doable, but no faster sessions.
Good luck for your race!

Good times, Jack / Lindsay! Nice to see Forum Flyers back on top of the board even if just for a short while.

Holiday activities with the kids today, but hoping to have a crack at my 4min SB later this evening, rounding off with Stage 1 of Zwift's Tour of Watopia (30 virtual kms to help top up the cardio for the day).

Did the 1,5k today during lunch break. I thought in the city and the air conditioned gym the hay fever won't be a problem.. I was wrong :-) and I found out that gym rowers (at least in my gym) are badly maintained. My workout graph is much more "serrated" (I hope it's the right term) compared to my trainings at home. Good I haven't tried these rowers before I bought my own, maybe I would have changed my mind
My time was 5:05,2 / 1:41,7. I think I can hold this pace for 2k (with my own erg, no hay fever and good preparation of course) which would be a great improvement.

Also think so.

Feeling a bit better, but now my rower gave.... the clutch at some point gives zero resistance, pretty dangerous, you pull air, not good on the back
Maybe needs some oiling, or else parts need to be replaced.

Good to hear you're felling better (hope you're top fit by now, had no time to post the last days :-) )
That really sounds bad and dangerous, hope you were able to fix it!

I wish, I was really sick, will take a while to back I am afraid. Tried to oil the oil the cluth, but find it difficult to row, don,t “dare” to pull. Will see if I can get something done today.

Hi Henry

Had the same issue with the clutch on my rower - phoned C2 and spoke to one of the technicians who advised that the flywheel needed replacing - I ordered one and it arrived the next day - problem solved.
Quite scary when the clutch suddenly lets go on you(and I do all my training unstrapped) so I would advise getting the flywheel replaced as I had done.

Possible that congealed grease lube is stopping some of the needles in the 1-way from grabbing the shaft. You could remove the flywheel from the axle, lay it flat on some rags or in a catch pan and flush the bore with solvent, then relube with oil, replace and give it a spin. But for safety sake and a certain solution, replacing the flywheel might be a better choice of action. Don’t want a flying Dutchman! :o

Cheers Paul, I have a c2 shop nearby, 15 min drive. So easy to drop by for me. I did row today, easy and no trouble, but think you are right, better get it replaced. Lost all faith in pulling after a few slips.
