Image 10 days.....you KNOW you'll want to be part of the herd....

Great to hear from you, Jeff M! The mythical land of Asgard is well represented!

Numbers were captured early, so some new stuff might have happened. Had to rearrange my "stuff to do" schedule when the blizzard alert came through this AM. Looks like it will be slushy stuff as it is already accumulating...much to puppy's delight.

Crazy weather indeed ...we had maybe two inches of slush, and I bet Doug G has a foot of snow!

We had appx. 9" of snow yesterday, a good break us in for winter storm. I think about half of that melted off by the time I got home from work.
I noticed a new world record was broken the other day by Kiwi Eric Murray....5k in less than 15 min. That's faster than a 1:30 split avg. Superhuman in my book!

erm... sort of sad to post this as i live more or less in the alps.... but.. we had 20°C and not a day under 14°C for nearly a week.....
kinda weird really... its warmer on the mountains at 1600m (~4500ft) than it is at ground level (500m - 1500ft)....

Hey Dag
Was that record recorded on the C2 site or an on water? I can't find it on the C2 rankings page. I did see a lady has 15:00.0 which is the best time. She is 62 years old. That is exactly a 1:30 split. Can people really do this on the C2? Wow! I can probably get to that split time but I can't hold it for more than a minute or so.
The next best time is a 25 year old guy at 15:49.0. That sure aint me. My age is double but not the time. Grin.
I just checked my ranking on the 5000M. If I do it again and take 1 second off my time I will move up over 12 people. haha. Talk about close times.

I'm dreaming of a green xmas.

Thor, your right it doesn't show up under rankings (not sure why), but if you click on rankings then on record for all ranking distances....put in 5k and male catagory and it will pop up. it came up on my instagram a few days ago from concept 2. I Think the lady you see on rankings entered the time manually and it's not verified, I would have to question the validity of that time and if it is accurate then she beat the woman's world record by almost 2 min.which would be pretty awesome, but unlikely.

Welcome back to Chuck B ! Always good to see a returning teammate !

Yep, in just ONE week, the Holiday Challenge will be underway and the Reindeer Dash will be ON! Make sure you are reindeer ready and have your course plotted out...those days will slip by ever so quickly!

Image One of my "chores" no longer needs to be completed now that the Chinook winds that hit the morning after our "blizzard" (note the absence of appreciable snow) blew all these maple leaves to Kansas and beyond after the snow knocked them off the tree. It was like a big present to go out there and see not a single leaf anywhere on that lawn. Wish the Chinook winds could have made the rowing machine go a little faster yesterday, too.
