Speaking of the Cubs, there is an immensely funny song by the late Steve Goodman called" a dying cub fans last request" . If you have a chance, Google or you tube it.
Oh I think it's highly deserved my fellow Lune. It's just so good to see your numbers changing again.

[quote="Kona2"] The scary season is upon us......join the Skeleton Crew ....
Adding to the scary season, the next full moon is Tuesday, 27 October...
Meanwhile, I am perplexed by a logcard issue. The last time I ordered some Concept2 logcards, I think I ordered something like six of them - simply because the shipping charges for one or two seem ever so wrong. For me, when a logcard "goes bad", there's usually a message about can't read data or some such thing. Reformatting sometimes works, but most of the time I just pitch the old card. I was overzealous in selecting the workout I was going to do for each of the last two days, and stopped short of the selected amount. Instead of the logcard showing the actual number of meters, there was nothing, nada, and zippo. I do know how to retrieve the total from the PM3 memory function, and I did that and manually entered the numbers. I thought it was a fluke the first time it happened, and so gave it a try again. Nooooo data. Just to check, I selected the just row feature...and after figuring out that you have to row at least a minute for any data to record, sure enough - there was data on the card. So, the question is...did the latest software revision change the ability to capture the actual amount rowed vs selected or am I just now realizing that this occurs? (Surely not!) I can't be the only one who has had visions of rowing some bigger number than I actually felt like completing... And, no, I don't want to use my phone to track data...rowing is a time AWAY from phone screen...
The being able to save one minute deal is real. I ran in to that while trying to test my card in a machine at where I worked. Oh yee of old technology and resisting the new. Grin. I don't even think you can connect a phone to a PM3 but then I've been wrong before. Well, once. It was a really bad day for me. hahaha.
Have fun.

Re: All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 10.24.15
Yes, battery was the main reason I upgraded to the PM5. Since it is wireless I can charge the IPone while using ergdata. I don't have the knowledge about phones enough to say if the IPhone is the better phone or not. It's just the one I know and am used to. I will say I do not like the bact that the charging plug is also the same plug that is needed to connect with hard wired devices such as the PM4/3. One can't charge the IPhone when it is connected. Over time this has to kill the usefulness of the battery.Kona2 wrote:Mostly there are so MANY things that want to access location services, bluetooth, etc., that I find that battery life can be an issue.... Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
So far, Concept2 has responded that if you shorten a pre-selected meter amount, you have to hit the menu/back button for it to save. Since I did that, I am assuming that there is still an unresolved issue...good grief. Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
well... busy busy bees at the weekend,
more work in the fitness room - nearly finished - just some fine tuning to do, but this is what it looks like so far...
http://www.0stress.net/2015/10/26/welln ... rovements/
other than that - we had to kill one of the vines, just wasn't well. so not a lot of time for other things. did manage a HM yesterday - try to get some meters in for the skeleton.
Next project is the carport....
followed (if i can intepret the wifes wish list correctly), outdoor whirlpool, a balcony.....etc.

These bunny trails of the mind pop into the stats here and there. Today's is all about black and gold, and I'm not talking University of Colorado colors either. My mom at 85 has a remarkable memory for things old AND new. She credits memorization of poems (including some REALLY long ones) as a great tool. Her favorite Halloween one is by Nancy Byrd Turner - a Virginian (I think that's why Mom had to learn this one in school). Never fear. It's short and relatively painless. Maybe some teammates have even had to learn this one before.
Black and Gold
Everything is black and gold,
Black and gold, to-night:
Yellow pumpkins, yellow moon
Yellow candlelight;
Jet-black cats with golden eyes
Shadows black as ink,
Firelight blinking in the dark
With a yellow blink
Black and gold, black and gold
Nothing in between -
When the world turns black and gold
Then it's Halloween!
