Thanks Richard :!: It's quite a distance from the rarefied atmosphere that you navigate :D The extra push for the challenge has also brought be over the 33 MM lifetime mark. Only 7 MM to go to complete my circumnavigation :? Maybe by the end of next season :?:

Yes, it was very impressive. We called our neighbor's children outside to see it ... and pretty soon their parents, and a couple of dog-walkers were gazing upwards, too. Impromptu block party! Much easier to get behind a 7:45 pm lunar event, than a 3:00 am comet shower. Very LunaTic.

I arrived as the process was starting to "reverse." This too was impressive. Yes, very Luna-Tic.

I went out but couldn't see the moon near me--too much cloud cover, I guess. Luckily, I was able to catch live feed online so I was able to watch it from the comfort of my recliner.

Plenty of visibility to see the lunar eclipse in action here in the Denver area ...it was proceeding faster than the Broncos game I think.

The eclipse was spectacular here. It was cool how progressively more stars became visible as the eclipse proceeded. The sky was crystal clear and the Milky Way was quite a sight :!:
Yes, I finally got around to doing my first FM of the season. It seemed like an auspicious day to do it. Today I went for the true 33 1/3 RPM. 33,333,333 lifetime meters. For all those out there whose soundtrack of their youth was etched in vinyl B)

Nice number, DDRR! I'm currently at 33,877,971 lifetime meters ... I might say "race you around the world to 40 million," but I'd find myself splashing around in Pago Pago while you sprinted across the Pacific to the finish line.

On one of those frigid January days in Vermont, splashing around Pago Pago would be great

No eclipse "downunder" but on the Milky Way, on my recent trip into the "outback" the stars shone brightly from horizon to horizon under a moonless sky, and the Milky Way was awesome! Something everyone should get to experience!

Cheers, Baz :D
