LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.

I might be in the wrong team then... Did a 6:46 @ Crash-B and @ the Dutch open.[Sub-7, I believe, refers to their collective ability or goal to row the 2K in under 7 minutes. Impressive feat!!
but neahhhhh This team is much nicer
The cake is a bit too early Jan. The big day is October 11. I am still in the Netherlands trying to reach my goal of 200k for this edition of the FRC. Last week I did 100k in 5 days. I am glad I have to kneel in church... the sitting device starts to hurt a bit Anyhow I have to hurry because this Saturday I'll fly to Mexico for the last preparations for our big Mexican wedding party.
I'll post a picture of the invitation soon. Let's see how many people master either Spanish or Dutch.

Never too early for cake
It's never too early for cake! And glad you're on our team - adding some international diversity and language lessons as needed!

Here is our official team cake recipe for those times when a whole cake is more than you want to eat at one sitting.
5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG-O-CAKE
1 Coffee Mug
4 tablespoons flour(that's plain flour, not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips
Small splash of vanilla
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well .
Add the egg, and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk, oil and vanilla and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes on high. The
cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate. Smear the melted chocolate chips around for the "icing".
EAT!
And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because
now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of
the day or night!
Barb, the next marathon is Oct. 12th. I finally got in a row today! Hope to get in a few more before the end of the challenge.

The invitation to the "first" real LUNA(tic) wedding
For those of us that are fluent in Spanish
Or if you mastered your Dutch
For all of you there will be virtual cake on October 11.

The images did't show up in your post. You could post the link to Potobucket and maybe we could see them there. Anyone else with this problem?

Way to Row Lunatics!
Wow!
New card carrying Luina-Tics. Welcome!
Third place in the fall challenge. Way to Row Guys and Gals!
And a 5 minute chocolate cake recipe.... Thanks Captain K!
My wife and I got back from our long fall tour last evening. We were in Quebec for 6 days, the longest I've been without the English language since my Peace Corps days. It was tough without road signs and billboards in English, and I'm sure we drove right by places of interest in the Gaspe region without even realizing it. New England, the Adirondacks, and the Finger Lakes Region were great. We hit fall color being within a few days of peak all the way from Lake Sebago, Maine to Duluth. Lots to catch up on now. I managed to row for an hour this morning at reduced output, but I have some "toning" to do now. Darryl

Invitation Photos
Peter and Lilia -
Very classy invitations!
I would delete the photos from photobucket in a day or so (or whatever time you want as team members reading the forum will have seen them by then) - they will also be deleted that way from forum and from anything we've quoted!

Re: All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 9.30.08
No HM; Tuesday was 3 X 6K, which was pretty good , then a slog of 4k, 3k, 2k, 1k.Half Marathons: Dan C, Kristine, Ted?
The reason for the slog was that I reached 6 Million lifetime
Thanks to the FRC, and all you Lunies, I reached that milepost at least a month earlier than I would have otherwise.
Slow and Steady is my pace, so it seems,
Slow and Steady wins the race, in my dreams.
Slow and Steady wins the race, in my dreams.
Town Meeting Notes
This was like one of those "town meeting" days ... so much happening on the virtual bulletin board ... when does everyone have any time to row?
Lilia and Peter: beautiful invitations; love the color.
Darryl: welcome back, we missed you.
Ted: 6 million congrats to you!
Kap'n Kristine: I have all the ingredients ...
