Super rowing, Thor! Congratulations on a fantastic first. And way to lead out, Ed! I was hit hard with the viral cough thingy that makes the rounds every spring, but decided that the start of the new season is a good time to get back in the boat even if it is still hanging on a bit. Going to keep it slow and steady for a bit here.

thank you Kristine. I don't think I said this earlier. when I checked today, well yesterday now I guess, there was 50 people who did the full marathon. Of those 8 ranked them. Of those 8 I was in last place. haha I suppose someone has to be last, right? I hope you are feeling 110% soon. I'd love to see your name back on the marathon list again this year.
Welcome to the new team members. This is a great group of people.
I hope you enjoy them.
Thanks K2, the hammer was lifted. Maybe not that high this time but it did leave the ground. Grin.
have fun

Good to be back. I survived the bandits on the Silk Road. Fortunately, Ed scouted out the fastest camel for me.
Congratulations Thor!!! Way to blast out of the gate!!!
While American Pharoah is clearly the favorite, I'm still hoping Pacquiao makes a horse race of it.

And a special mention to some of those end-of-year palindromes...

3 371 371 (hmmm, this one's an Enigma, possibly an encoded lunar weather report)
3 300 033
2 000 000 (not a palindrome, but still a number to celebrate)
600 006
469 996 (Dude?)

Wanted to congratulate everyone on a great 2015 season. Hope everyone has a healthy 2016 rowing year. Get well wishes to all who are ill or recovering from injuries.
Barb, you are amazing, truly. Thor, hope this is your first of many marathons. Jan, don't know how you do all you do,I am in awe. Ron, be careful, Jay had a tough April, cutting his hand open one day on a car fan blade, next day having a screwdriver go all the way through his hand.
Wishing Richard best of luck and good time at the derby.
Can't believe Tristan is 220lbs ,when he started rowing I think he was 115. And he out weighs me by over 50lbs but why do I look fat beside him?
Wow, most have wrote in years.

Went to our local 9News Health Fair this AM as this is an inexpensive way to get bloodwork done. Apparently I am truly virtual as initially no blood could be found. I am sure many are familiar with that roaring noise you start to hear, and you know you're going down for the count....and the next thing I knew, I was looking at the ceiling and paramedics were looking at me. Fainted. So I guess it's good I didn't choose any profession that involved blood, especially my own. Still kind of oooogie feeling, so might get some of this wrong. Good grief, Charlie Brown.

C2 in apartments?

Post by Thor MW » May 2nd, 2015, 4:09 pm

Man Tristan, go! Jim K? really 2? I'm stund.

Question. I am moving and before I even start looking at places I wonder. If I have the trusty C2 on a wooden floor will the people below me be able to hear it? I can and will put it on a mat. I just don’t want to bother anyone else and I am not willing to give up rowing if I can help it. My two main Criteria. A good shower and enough room for the C2. Not like I care what colour the walls are painted. I don’t care about a view out the windows. Haha Well it can’t stink, my nose works.

Image Day 3 of the Global Marathon Challenge: 15 Lunies .... so far!

Marathon Fever is sweeping the Universe...and the Lunies are 7 of the 70 Full Marathon Finishers....and 8 of the 168 Half Marathon Finishers. There's still time to add YOUR name to the list(s) of successful finishers. It's an awesome feeling to complete these, and the bragging rights are unparalleled! Looks like the Kielmas are able to have their own challenge competitions...those full marathon times are stunning to those of us in the just trying to finish in four hours realm....

Ouch, Jay! Maybe you better just stick to rowing. Thor, our C2 is upstairs on a carpeted floor, and we can hear it through the floor.
