So, who's gonna break the big sweat? last year I think there were 7 Lunes who did it. It would be cool to see if we can get more Luna-Tics on the board.
I am going to give it a shot either tomorrow or the next day. I will do it first thing in the morning. If I feel good and reasonably strong tomorrow will be the day. If not, unless something really doesn't feel good I will give that puppy a go the next day. So time for as good a sleep as I can get right now.
have fun all and good luck to those who give the half or full marathon a kick. may your stroke be strong and very many. See you at the 42K line. Yeah, I know, it's not 42K exactly but I can't remember the number and I am just too lazy to look it up right now. .
Good night
Love T

Happy new year to all. I did it! I got my first ever full marathon done. Took me nearly 4 and a half hours but it is in the bank.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, Lunies!
2014 – We finished the year with 175 team members. Total meters are 184,258,753 m. Our average meters per team member statistic is over ONE MILLION METERS for the sixth year in a row. We started our journey back to the moon, and have about 200 million meters before our second lunar landing occurs.
2015 – We finished the year with 154 team members, and total meters of 128,605,134 m. Our average meters per team member statistic is 835,098 m this year...and for the first time in SEVEN years, we did not make our ONE MILLION METERS per teammate average. On the plus side of what could look like a hang your head kind of equation, we had some OUTSTANDING accomplishments and so many FIRST EVERS. I like to think that we are growing as a team - and like many episodes of growth, there are hills and valleys. We have accumulated 312,863,887 m towards our second lunar landing which will occur when we reach 384,000,000 m.....and it is going to be so awesome! Our magic number is 71,136,113 m for us to make that landing! By my "calculations", this will occur about the time that the Holiday Challenge ends....Christmas...or perhaps New Year's. So put that lunar moment into your minds as a placeholder....because we are SO going there for the second time!
Wowzer! We have some teammates who are roaring into the New Year! So far, it's FIVE full moons, and SIX half moons....there will be more! We'll talk about those numbers tomorrow.
Tammy and Roger G joined us on the last day of the season, and this was welcome news.
Season meters as of 365/365 = 128,605,134 m
Total meters on the day = 752,357 m

Tomorrow, is Derby Day....Bring on the horses! Our field of 20 has some very fun names:
Ocho Ocho Ocho (sort of a rendition of what some of you are saying after finishing those marathons)
Carpe Diem
Materiality....what Madonna as a horse?
Tencendur
Danzig Moon
Mubtaahij
El Kabeir....with a Hall of Fame jockey riding
Dortmund - the second favorite
Bolo Firing Line
International Star
Its A Knockout
Keen Ice
Frosted
War Story
Mr Z
American Pharoah - the favorite
Upstart
Far Right
Frammento
In just under a day, those hooves will be pounding around the track...and we'll have another horse who is making a run for the Triple Crown of winning the Derby, the Preakness and the Belmont Stakes. The best horses don't always win and some of these have drawn some ugly post positions. I'm going to root for Dortmund...
And...am I reading this correctly? Thor, the man who said he was going to give this marathon thing a go in the morning....has jumped out of the gate a bit early, and finished a FULL marathon? I guess we named him appropriately...throwing the hammer down on the first day! Marathon fever sweeps the team! But those are tomorrow's stats....
