Good luck!

No rowing today for me either. A blood donation day and I did the double red, so I need to take it easy for 24 hrs. What is really cool now is that when your blood is used you get an email telling you where it was used. So far I know my blood was used at the North Shore Medical Center in MA and in Skowhegan, ME.
Now I have to go online and register for free Red Sox tickets. If I win, I get to go on the field and be recognized with other blood donors. How cool is that

Very cool!
Way to go Ron! (I wasn't sure if some of injuries would affect your ability to donate. I glad you still can.)

Thanks David. Coming from someone who donated so much over the years your kind words mean a lot
I was turned away the first time I tried to donate after my accident because my skin grafts had not completely healed. Happily, I've been able to donate twice since then and hopefully I'll be able to keep it up for years to come.

Way to go Mike C on the big million.
I ended up doing a bit more than half a marathon today to see how it would feel. Well I can do the first half of a full marathon. We'll just see how the second half goes next week. haha
I got up and walked around a bit and did a bit of stretching here and there. Sure made a difference when I sat back down again.
I think the battery on the phone will hold up. I will turn off the internet as that might save battery. I have the screen off since I don't need it. I'm not sure if there's anything else I can turn off or not. It's an IPhone 5S if anyone has suggestions. It is pretty new so really shouldn't be a problem. Um, I hope. Grin. Since the phone will be talking to me I will tend to use more battery then others.
Have fun all.

Can't you just keep the phone plugged in ? Assuming there is an outlet close enough to make it work...

I wanted to see an exhibit at our Denver Museum of Nature and Science called Traveling The Silk Road ever since it was first announced that it would be coming to Denver. As usual, the months passed quickly and suddenly we're in the last week of the exhibit. So off I went this AM to see the many routes through the steppe of Eurasia. 10,000 miles and six months was the turn time - as long as you survived bandits, illness, extremes of temperature...and hooked up with the right camel caravan. Two things about this exhibit interested me: the live silk worms were awesome in their grubworm appearance of milky white. I always think of worms as being like fishing worms, but these are a different sort altogether. They were truly disgusting. The other bit that seemed surprising since I tend to think of engineering marvels as being something more recent, was the network of underground canals built to irrigate the crops and not lose water to the 120 degree days. It's not a spectacular exhibit, but it's worth seeing if it arrives in a city near you.

Sadly no K2. The IPhone only has two holes. One is for the power and some other things, in this case, the PM. The other hole is for headphones. There is no way to have power going to the phone while it is plugged in to the PM and the PM does not generate power for the phone like it does for it's own battery. . I think maybe the PM5 might have Bluetooth which would be wireless and then one would be able to connect the power cord. I am not sure about this though. Maybe the Bluetooth message that comes up on my phone when I load ErgData may only be fore accessories like a HR belt. I don't have a PM5 and I haven't read about it yet.
