yeah ducks

Post by Calamity » September 23rd, 2008, 7:17 pm

Yeah us rowing past the ducks. As you saw from Orion's picture we row with rubber ducks on our ergs to give us incentive.
I guess we will now row with Subs on our machine -either the sandwich kind or the boat kind or as Orion's points out, the underground train kind.

Good job everyone!!

We have a new addition to our household - Melody the dog who is a three months old puppy. The breed is whatever they mix up at the pound and comes out chocolate with white banding and white freckled paws.

Gina,

Take it easy as long as it hurts, ribs are slow to heal. Working out too early on makes it worse and slower to heal.

At least that's what I learned in dental school. LOL

Welcome, Wilbury! We're also excited that you're a part of the team ... that's some serious time you spend on your C2.

With the two new Wills and their mega-meters, we might really have our shot at rowing to the moon!

Rowbikes

Post by Kona2 » September 24th, 2008, 9:22 am

Check out this combo of a rower and a bike - appropriately called a rowbike. This would probably count as on the pavement meters....

:? rowing AND seeing where you are going? that's confusing.

 AND I have to steer the contraption?

B) oh, yeah, I could do it outdoors!

 but with my coordination, I'd end up ON the pavement. Remember, I went back to rowing because I fell off the Treadmill!!

Looks like a cool idea for Jan's next trip across Oregon.

Gina

PS. I'm taking Cox Dan's advice and staying off the erg until my rib is pain free.

Seeing Where You're Going

Post by Kona2 » September 24th, 2008, 1:19 pm

Gina - how true! Rowing on the water does get you outdoors anyway!

 30 minutes to learn to "rrrrowride" this thing sounds like there are some definite balance issues to overcome. And steering - note that this is all viewed in an EMPTY parking lot.....

:D I like the idea of putting your Concept2 in front of a big window with a good view!
