Whoop, whoop and hooyah! Maybe throw in a flock of sheep for extra measure! Congratulations, Norma, on achieving a TWO million meter lifetime piggy bank balance...in spite of all the things you had to leap over. We wish you MANY, MANY more!!

Congratulations from me too !!!

For some reason, my mind took a funny turn processing this image. Instead of seeing a dream bubble with the sheep jumping inside, I saw a frog - with the quarter moon being the eye. And because I saw it that way, I also imagined seeing frogs jumping inside, instead of sheep. So all I can say is good job keeping the plague of frogs away too, in addition to those sheep rustlers.
I thought the same thing

Yes, congratulations Reba! I must have been dreaming when I wrote the above. Literally.

Meanwhile, I'm on a new bunny trail. Stats posting will occur later today (actually, I forgot to send myself the spreadsheet and can't update it from this device at the moment... but I did get a snapshot of the amazing meters that have been put in the meter bank).

Congratulations David A, Jim and Norma :!:
It seems like just as everyone else is speeding up, I'm slowing down  It doesn't help when I keep trying to win the "Klutz of the Year" award. Last Wednesday I was at the Vermont State House for an event that wrapped up the state's program of events commemorating the sesquicentennial of the Civil War. After the event I was going down the stairs from the House chamber to the lobby when (due in part to the metal heel plates on my brogans) I took a tumble on the stairs. Since most of the audience had already come down for the reception, I had a lot of people witness my downfall  Along with my injured pride , I whacked my elbow pretty hard and strained my left shoulder.
Oh well-"Pride goeth before a fall"

A klutzy moment? Perhaps...
But tell me, did you think you heard someone whistling Dixie on the way down?

Oh my. Did you notice a clowder of black cats crossing your path, while you were in Bonny Scotland? Or, maybe you opened your umbrella in your hotel room? Remember any overhead ladders or broken mirrors?? Sounds like you need a Rowen berry herbal concoction to ward off those mischievous fairies that seem to have followed you home from the northern third of the UK! Be well, DDRR.

Since the MacDougalls and the Bruces were bitter enemies I probably picked up a curse when we visited the seat of Lyn's Clan MacDougall in Oban :o

Image Another episode...

Norma started this bunny trail a few days ago - with what was probably an innocent comment about sheep rustling. Sheep rustling? The visual this conjured up was unrelenting, and before I knew it....I was down the bunny trail. Or the sheep trail in this case. Livestock theft has been going on probably for as long as there have been those that have them, and those that don't. All the old westerns (film and novel) tell the tales of rustlers hiding the cattle in canyons that only appear inaccessible...but I hadn't really thought about the sheep getting rustled. I thought the coyotes made off with a few every season for sure, but had no thoughts of Lambchop as a dinner dish instead of a cartoon. (Minnie, put that lamb recipe away...)Turns out that sheep rustling is on the rise in the UK, and sheep are hauled off in trucks to the butcher vs hiding out in the secret passageway. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/earth/a ... moors.html But wait...there's more. Back in the 1970s, the BBC produced a series called Look and Read: Joe and the Sheep Rustlers. These fine film episodes (there are at least 10 episodes in Joe and the Sheep Rustlers) can now be viewed on YouTube, and I'm giving you the link to the first in the series. Or you could watch All Creatures Great and Small....that was a good one...but I don't remember any sheep rustling stories.

Season meters as of 344/365 = 119,383,612 m

This world is just full of surprises... It seems this rustling thing even extends to that other hoppy creature that might live in dream bubbles.

But no series. The bunny trail grows cold.
