Does this remind anyone of the Virtual Team Challenge?
I think I now have a better grasp of Danno's Satchel Paige quote on the Team page.

Happy to report that you'll have some stats tomorrow - although they will arrive in a giant batch since I was not able to capture them for a few days.

That's when the commentary should be " We need a bigger boat."

thanks..it was in february last year :] and i love the shark chasing us :}
and here's an email i'm sharing from da do ron ron-
Hi Barb,
WOW! Quite a finish! The Pats sure dodged a bullet.
You haven't seen me on the forum lately because I got banned again because my IP address was associated with spam. C2 uses a firm in Britain to monitor stuff like spam. My internet connection is not all that great and every time I try to get my name taken off the list my connection times out before contact is made. I haven't put in any meters for about two weeks because of my back problem. I'm going a little stir crazy!
My follow up with the plastic surgeon was disappointing. New x-rays show that the knuckle joint is still in pieces and the only hope I have that I will ever be able to end the finger would be joint replacement. They don't do that surgery anywhere around here and there might be to much damage for me to be a candidate.
I hope your are coping with all this inclement weather. We didn't get slammed with as much snow as southern New England, but in has been bitterly cold. It actually got up to 23 degrees today and it felt positively balmy
If you go on the forum, please pass on my best to everyone.
Ron

All these Pats fans coming out of the woods....even the Vermont woods....Seahawks GAVE that game away...
Meanwhile the snow keeps falling on the NE portion of the US. This is apparently keeping many folks indoors, except for bg who managed to get unjustly tossed out of a Dunkin Donuts location during a snow storm. Maybe it was a Seahawks fan who was the manager of that store. Hopefully, Dunkin store people have apologized for this ridiculousness.
And, yes, the CRASH B's are on Sunday, 1 March this year. What's up with that? I thought this was a February event! Extra training time for some who are considering throwing their erg hats in the ring. That was a good cartoon, Richard T. Even though you are in the military now, it's good you are still thinking about your Lunie teammates.

Hi Team,
As some of you know I am a diehard Seahawks fan - season ticket holder since 1976 when they began.
It was a great game, the ending will sting for awhile! As coach Carrol states it will not define us...
As most have said they should have ran Marshawn. If they had run him 2-3 times and did not get in then we deserved to lose. With that said New England played a good game and made a great play at the end. That is football, the catch to get us there was amazing as well.
Congratulations to our Pats fans on your teams great win and season!
My hope is we keep the team intact and make a great run for it next year!
Happy Rowing,
Ed

btw....here's what i posted facebook about the my dunkin's adventure that k2 mentioned-
yes it is true...at approximately 6:30 am....i took a break from running in the snow with a wind chill factor that was below zero to stop in the dunkin's between porter and union square on somerville ave in somerville....i did not sit at a table, use the bathroom or ask for some tap water...i just wanted to take my succeed tablet and gu.....yes i did use two napkins to blow my nose once i entered....since i was not making a purchase i was asked to leave....during my short time there...there was only one other customer so i don't think i was in anybody's way....i was told that this is a business so i had to leave....is it me or did this person who seemed like a manger lack common sense????and good business sense????

MAN, this is like a yo-yo
I'm gone, then I'm back. I'm hear than I'm there. I hope I can stay off the blacklist for a while
Finally felt good enough to put in the some meters today. I hope I'll be able to get out of bend tomorrow
Not as many meters as I would like but, as the Eagles song goes:
It's too easy not to care
You're not ready for the rockin' chair!
Get up and do something.
I feel for you Ed. I still get upset thinking about Bill Buckner. You show a lot of class in the way you responded.
Glad to be back.
Hope I can stay for a while.

Here's hoping that y'all are back to stay. Be well!
Wow, I remember Bill Buckner ... we lived in Boston at the time! (I wonder if Dunkin would have let him stand inside, out of the cold.)

Great to see some forum presence AND some meters posted for you, Ron! Thanks, also, to bg, for posting the rest of the Dunkin story!

I was in India, in Bangalore.
It seems that I have picked up a cold/flu on the way back with an ugly cough... So I wasn't able to row for a few days.
Hope to be back rowing soon!
Sorry to hear about you terrible DD experience, BG...
I hope it's not representative to DD, just a manager w/o common sense and empathy

Wishing you better future experiences wherever you go and sending my admiration for keeping up your your running "in the snow with a wind chill factor that was below zero"!
