Hooboy! The east coast of the US might be seeing this "after midnight" as Eric Clapton says! And I know we have some big Eric Clapton fans on board the Lunie ship. Hope it has been a good and grand day for everyone in the Erg Universe.

Grabbed the numbers earlier today. We've got one more day to get those week two Dog Days meters in. Some who rowtofast have already completed enough meters to make a few extra laps around the Challenge course, but I am still a few short and will have to put some time in on the rower tomorrow. Kind of a good thing to work into the increased numbers of meters required each week...get my mind wrapped around the idea that I have to build rowing time into my schedule.

Season meters as of 104/365 = 24,155,032 m

Total meters on the day = 324,000 m (very unusual for us to have a number than ends in 000)

MILESTONES...Bragging Rights...Celebrations:

1.6 MM Steve G
1.45 MM bg
1.25 MM Ron
650 K Dominic
250 K Mikkel
150 K Kerry

I've been trying to keep my numbers up, while battling a nagging hamstring pull. WARNING: Playing with your dog my be hazardous to your health  Today in Rocky's birthday. Image Start of week 3: give me 30 K !

Nothing like a Challenge to get us back into the rowing and ski-erging mode on a more frequent basis. I'm hoping to start listening to The Boys In The Boat while I get my meters done, and thus fit in some "reading" while I'm getting some meters. We still have a good forty percent of the golf season in play here in Colorado, and I'm used to walking the 18 hole course. I've had to switch to walking half the course so I have enough "umphf" to still get some meters rowed. And one of the things that happens when you're a walker on a course and you want to keep a good pace of play is that you have to find the "secret passageways" cut into the native grasses that give you a shortcut that the golf carts can't go through. Thinking about secret passageways yesterday as I took one of those shortcuts reminded me of how many movies and books, and people in real life, employ a secret passageway or hidden place. We ALL have places that we hide stuff - whether it's the Christmas presents from the kiddos, or or or. National Treasure, or whatever the movie was called with N Cage, had a ton of those secret hiding places and mysteries to solve. Good stuff.

Season meters as of 106/365 = 24,713,722 m

Total meters on the partial day = 148,162 m

ahhhh...hiding places....or for me it's putting things away in what i think is a logical place...of course i can never find the stuff when i need it.....when i finally find it, i realize i did put in a logical place and question why i couldn't find it...this may be due to the fact i have geezer brain }

There are no coincidences! I, too, am about to start The Boys in the Boat. If anyone would like the paperback book (not audio), after I'm finished, send me a PM with your address.

Nice ... unfortunately. the wing pads on this young grasshopper were not quite developed enough for the trip to Bethel, though I grew up near Woodstock. Were you there more than a day?

Congratulations to you and Ed on Dos Millones !!

Sadly, no, I didn't have the plane fare.
I bet that was a defining event in your young life!
