I convince my self by watching TV shows on Netflix, and not allowing myself to watch unless I'm rowing. It's motivated me a lot of nights when I reeeeeally want to finish an episode, so I have to get on the rower. As far as rowing in the morning, I've done it a few times, mostly during a challenge where I was just trying to accumulate a lot of meters, but I'm such a zombie in the morning that it's not a great workout for me.

Of course, the other thing that keeps me motivated is knowing I'll get a shoutout from Kona2 when I reach a milestone. I rowed extra meters on Monday just so I could hit 200K.
Oh my goodness, this could have been me, writing this; down to the last detail! Sarah, you're a kindred spirit, indeed. Let's do lunch, and talk about how much we enjoy mornings ... :)

Since i got back into it, i watch my annual meters the most and hate to see those go down. It is also nice having this forum to shoot for the next milestone. I also rent movies on itunes to watch on ipad at gym and the rentals are only 24 hours so either i have a long row or have to finish the movie within next day's workout. Also, trying to keep up with the rest of you lunatics on the affiliation standings is holding me accountable to stay above the average. To the moon, Alice. :D

By annual meters i meant average daily meters on annual meters honor board or history page. Trying to keep the daily average up.

Hello again. I'm back on the rower now that life has quieted down some. Keith bought me a new PM3 monitor upgrade for Mother's Day. I tried it out for the first time yesterday with the Android phone direct connection. Love it! Now to play around with the different workouts while getting back in shape. I'm a little sore from yesterday's 30 minute row.
