We are just back from two weeks in the Australian Outback, great weather and time had by all!
And I trust all team Luna-tic members are doing well and look forward to getting back into the groove…

Recent postings have given a whole new view (so to speak) of our half and full moons. In fact, I have often wondered why an outhouse only shows a half moon on the door when everyone knows there's a full moon inside. Hahahaha. No offense meant. So, in keeping with these posts, today's half moons are a little different.
Season meters as of 363/365 = 183,659,412 m
Total meters on the day = 517,342 m

It was a long day, but the new tank got put in yesterday.
I'm hoping that today I can get myself over the 8 MM mark.
I'm going south tomorrow. It is the 150th anniversary of the Battle of the Wilderness. May 5th 1864 is still the deadliest day in Vermont History. The VT Brigade sat astride the junction of the the Brock and Orange Plank Roads and met the attack of Heth's Division of A.P. Hill's Corps. If the Confederates had taken that key junction they could have attacked the Union 5th and 6th Corps in the flank and rear and split them off from Hancock's 2nd Corps.
The junction was held but the Vermonters paid a terrible price. Many units of the Union Army paid a heavy price as the Union generals, once again, underestimated the daring and audacity of Lee.

woooo hoooo and congrats rick :} and thanks again da do ron ron for sharing vermont's history...enjoy your travels and reenactment...is that the right term????oh and i also enjoy all the derby/horse talk...

Congrats everyone on another completed rowing season.
Of course, I have only been around for the first few weeks and the last two weeks of it, so I managed just over 5% of my target (2M meters) for the year.
I got sick (flu) a week into the season and never really got back to rowing until this past month.
But the past week and a half have been a good start and hopefully I can keep the momentum going. If nothing else I should be able to hit the lifetime 2M meters (less than 150km to go). With a little luck and motivation, I think 3M meters lifetime is possible for me. Here's to staying motivated and making time (not that easy with a 6-year old in gymnastics and swimming lessons, and an almost 10-year old in swim team, piano and bass, and being naturally lazy).
New season, new meters. Go team!
Wim (attempting to get back into rowing shape).

Not really had much time to row over the last few months due to work and relationship commitments, but work at least has calmed down just a little bit, so I'm getting back onto the sliding seat. A few days of pain ahead I think, but it'll be worth it?
