Hey Gang!

Thanks for letting me contribute some meters to the ether in your voyage to the moon. This transfer in to rowing has left me stiff, sore, and pretty excited to get into a rhythm. Already it has been a challenge to figure out just how hard to go, weekly meters to row, and at what pace, but it is slowly coming together.

So far just one question out there I can't seem to find an answer for:

How do I sign up to do an individual challenge? I swear I have searched high and low for some way to register that I'd like to join in, and have found nothing.

Thanks guys, and glad to be here!

A distiller and cocktail maker; awesome! You're already a card-carrying Lunatic, so it would seem that all you need to do for the many specific challenges is go to the TEAM tab (in Logbook) and click on TEAM CHALLENGE for whatever is upcoming.

Bg is correct. For individual challenges, any meters you row during the challenge are automatically challenge meters. For the team challenge, you do have to go to the team section in your logbook, and scroll down to current team challenge and sign on. Last time I checked, I was not able to sign the team up for the World Erg Challenge just yet. I'll check again.

All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 2.26.14

Post by Kona2 » February 27th, 2014, 1:07 pm

Image Bring on the prizes !!! Bring on the Muddy Meters !!

Our team history says that AT LEAST two team members will win prizes during the March Madness Challenge...and last year, we proved that this held true for the Mud Season Challenge as well. This is one event where everyone is encouraged to get their erg fix of either 5K a day or 10K a day.....well, DAILY....for all 31 days of March. Naturally, we will always take MORE. In fact, we would be delighted to take more. There is a sequence of dates that corresponds to when Concept2 will pull a TWO PRIZE day (one for the 5K group and one for the 10K group), and because it is often easier to leave a setup like that in place year over year, I imagine it will be the same. BUT I'm not telling!!! Hahaha! What if they DO change it this year - just for grins?!

In the past, we have used shamrocks to designate the 5K rowers and ski-ergers, and pots of gold for the 10K and above rowers and ski-ergers during what was called the March Madness Challenge. March Challenges give everyone a chance to be a little bit Irish (and we have a couple of teammates who are A LOT of Irish). We'll see what the designations turn out to be this year. Anyone have suggestions on what we should use for the 5K and 10K during the Mudseason Challenge? Keep the old or bring in something new?

Who knew?! Breckenridge, CO - well known as a ski town, and host city of many cycling events - also has a very nice trail system. Did not know that the trails had Muddy Meter ranking signs ! But I do like calling our March meters Muddy Meters !

Season meters as of 303/365 = 133,862,069 m

Total meters on the day = 497,802 m

Oars in space (participation) = 26 percent

Keep the old I say K2...! :D

It is a gloomy and overcast start to the Friday in the harbour city, and looks like we are set for similar weather over the weekend.

Enjoy the weekend wherever you are!

Cheers, Baz B)

Oh man! We JUST missed a trifecta ! Our total team meters were reading 134,134,443 m.....the stars are indeed aligned today (with what might be another question!) .

And, Baz, I like the shamrocks and pots of gold, too....it is disconcerting that you are not only getting to enjoy SUMMMMRRR right now, but you're also already to the weekend! Say what?!
