Been a little out of it since the JVC - back to snow shoveling and log splitting for exercise. Anyway - good luck Barb - I can't make it this year but will try to schedule early for next years CRASHBs.
Also Baz, a mud for your challenges http://toughmudder.com/obstacles/.

Is there a cam at the CRASH-BG?
Will the virtual bar be open?

Usually, Concept2 does set up a video link. I don't see the actual video link yet, but it should show up on this page before the race: http://www.concept2.com/indoor-rowers/racing/world-irc
And there is a lot of information at http://www.crash-b.org/web/.
I saw erg assignments, and it looks like Barb's race will start at 10:20 EST, Heat 7, and Barb will be on Erg 65.
Barb, hope to see you live, as Minnie leads us in jumping jacks and hopscotch, which should get pretty raucous with Guinan Jane's concoctions. I suspect the erg numbers will help a lot with finding you in the video stream, but just in case, can you wear something really outlandish?

Nice! It's a bit early for my Sunday morning viewing (those pesky -3 hours) but I could just stay up a couple of hours later on Saturday night! So, CRASH-BG, what will you be wearing? I second the request for something outlandish; maybe one of those nuclear colored spandex bike shirts like Jan wears ... with the Tweety bird headgear! (Now, that would be easy to spot, but perhaps a bit distracting for your race.)

All best, CRASH-bg, we'll be there, cheering, and virtually racing with you.

Valentine's Day Challenge Finishers !

Post by Kona2 » February 15th, 2014, 12:27 pm

Image ImageImage Lunie finishers !!

It is so powerful to go through the listings of the finishers for ANY of the Concept2 challenges, and see that Lunie finishers usually have an ENTIRE page that we own...and in this case, we had one full page and more than half of a second one! AND....in a year where the overall number of Concept2 Valentine's Day Challenge finishers dropped by 17 percent....we INCREASED our number of Erg Lovers by 15 percent !! How cool is that ??? Blazin' hearts I tell you !! Blazin !!

Congratulations to all our finishers and participants !! You did great !!

bg aka Barbara Grandberg - maybe wear your ORANGE Run for Research running tank top while you are rowing tomorrow! Your Boston Marathon movie was fun...and inspirational (although I must have blinked because I haven't seen you in it yet..). For those who are interested in doing so, here is a link to Barbara's participant page as part of the Run for Research liver team. One of the tough parts of participating in the events is often not the running of them, but rather the fundraising element. It's always a stretch assignment to get to goal !
