Hey, Orion ... I'm really enjoying watching you move up the team page ... it's the first thing I look at ... where's Orion today!? I'm wondering if you're using the new rower yet.Kona2 wrote:Orion 5,082 m
Well done everyone!
You're one impressive little Luna-tic.

Dear Chris,
We did get our new rower. We are now rowing on it and our log card keeps track of all that we row and we have to row more than 100 meters to keep track. The new rowing machine Akira cant put his fingers in. it has 10 different gears. And we have a game on there that has 4 min and try not to get eaten by big fish and the the medium size fish are 60 and the little fish are 30 and the big fish eating you you lose 45 points.
As you noticed I rowed 8000 a couple days ago. And I am rowing some today. And I hope the log card is keeping track of it.
I am learning to put my meters in by myself.
I am glad you like you cake it was good to eat.

C Breeze
Question too all...
I there anyone out there that has experience with the C Breeze?
http://www.ps-sport.net/
During the hot and humid dutch summer period it could be a welcome relief. Any East-coast rowers that have the same summer time "problem" and using this "solution"?

Interesting link to C Breeze
C Breeze is new to me - I usually just turn on a fan in the summer, but I like that this C breeze requires no electricity. This might be a good topic to put out on the first section of the forum - about indoor rowers, accessories, etc. There are a couple of folks out there who usually will answer pretty quickly.
Re: C Breeze
Sweet! I have to get me one of those, in a nice primary color. I currently use two electric desk fans, blowing air on me from each end of the rower. Plus the overhead fan, also! (It's always a good hair day when I row.)nl07695 wrote: ... anyone out there that has experience with the C Breeze? http://www.ps-sport.net/

My friend Ed Connor has one of these here is what he thought.
"Grasshopper,
Yeah that's the same model I used in 2001. I just found it too cumbersome for the benefit and went back to my old electric fan which gives a heartier flow. It wasn't that expensive as I recall so it might not hurt to try it. Particularly if your machine is not convenient to an outlet.
Bhagwan"
You have to understand when Ed says "hearty flow" he'e talking minimum Force 9 Gale.

Jan - Wed may be the day, but its not the day I'm focused on right now. I'll be heading to the lower Wisconsin River on Thursday to paddle 65,000 meters (40 miles) with 2 overnight camps on that lovely stretch of river this weekend.
Addendum: Since camping is on sand islands that form from the shifting sands of the river, I'll have to name the first night's campsite Gillian's Island!; because of Jan's daily stats header verse for yesterday that started playing that old Gilligan's Island theme over and over in my head!!!

C Breeze
Thanks Dan, Chris and Calamity for the replies.
The dutch part of the Cbreeze website reports that the dragfactor will drop a bit and rowing will become a bit easier. This still can be adjusted since my plesant dragfactor is 120. The part that scares me a bit more is the Fore 9 huricane. My average 500m split times are 2:00. The Cbreeze will help me pushing backwards during the pull, but then the huricane is at it's high and it might be a struggle to fight the headwind and get ready for the next pull.... I don't think his cool breeze will help me reaching those old time high records again. It's all back to dicipline and training to get back in shape...
And this year dutch summer is a bit dreary again. Temperatures are average and the daily showers prevent the temperatures to reach 90.
I think I can manage another season...
