Getting much closer to Halloween...and the rowers keep rowing! Meanwhile, parents are looking nervously at the weather forecasts wondering if this will be a season where you can't see the kids' costumes for the winter coats layered over them.....

Good to hear from you again, Dave-H from sunny Queensland (are you living there, now?) ... holidays and work are two most excellent reasons for trying to squeeze in some regular erg sessions. See you in the funny pages!

First of all, I want to apologize for signing up for the Fall Challenge and then rowing 0 meters for the whole month. :( Right around Sept 15, I ended up getting a sinus infection, which gave me an excuse for not rowing for about a week, but once I fall off the boat, I'm awful about getting started again. Anyway, I'm hoping to be back for good and I'm going to try to be a more active participant in the board in hopes that will prevent me from going MIA for months at a time.

I'm trying to take some time too look back through some recent posts. Kona2, I really like the Mole Day post (I'm a former chemistry teacher) and the Addams Family (no explanation needed, I hope!)

Anyway, glad to be back; as always, it's so inspiring to read the board and see all the achievements everyone has made!

Hooboy! The milestones are stacking up for teammates! Lots of good rowing going on (even if there are gaps between rowing sessions...it's all good!). Keep it up! Many have started to see holiday requests pop up on their personal and work calendars. That means that the next challenge is just around the virtual corner, and wouldn't you know it, the calendar is giving us an even bigger challenge for the Holiday Challenge this year. Instead of 31 days to complete the requisite meters to meet the challenge.....it's a whopping 27 days. More meters per day! Here's the usual chart to help plan your finishing strategy!

Congratulations to all the million meter milestone achievers in the past few days. Way to row! And welcome / Welcome back to the newest mateys.

Anybody on the Team like to Geocache? A geocacheing travel bug is heading into space with an astronaut going to the International Space Station next week. Worldwide events are planned Nov 6 & 7. Souvenirs for attending events. Coolness abounds!
