Took a day off yesterday to get married!!!! But got back to it today. The 10k challenge has been tough on this newbie and I am glad to be nearing the end. :)

I actually planned a row in the morning to keep the 10k going, but was nervous enough that the butterflies in my tummy didn't allow it.

Kerry, Congrats on you nuptials and hanging in there of the 10K challenge!

Interestingly the one day I missed was due to a friends wedding... I had butterflies too but I'm pretty sure it was from the hangover!

29 Million Lifetime Meters ... wowzer, Danno!

Post by Kona2 » March 25th, 2013, 12:03 pm

ImageImageImage ImageImage

Whoop, whoop and hooyah! While I don't know for sure when Danno first started tracking his Concept2 meters, I do know that the majority of these meters have been rowed as a Luna-Tic teammate. We've celebrated many, MANY millions. Sometime over the weekend, Danno hit the latest of his milestones....29 million lifetime meters! That's a lotta hours of erg time! Congratulations, Danno! We wish you many, MANY more!

All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 3.24.13

Post by Kona2 » March 25th, 2013, 12:16 pm

Image More suspense....who will win the meter lottery today?!

Still have 927 people on the 5K Honor Board, 365 on the 10K Honor Board and 22 on the 2500 m Honor Board! The 5K usually drops to about 700, and the 10K will drop to just under 200 (if history holds true). Me, I have zero days that I can miss rowing now thanks to my cross-training activities with snow shoveling. :D It's all good. Several of our teammates have rowed EVERY SINGLE DAY, and after today's row, they COULD just coast...except we're in a team challenge. Evil twins at Concept2!

Image We're still fifth - of all the Virtual Clubs. And thanks to the team efforts, we have the highest average of meters per person among that select group. Way to row, Lunies!

1 FRENCH INDOOR ROWERS TEAM Virtual Club 11,542,114 234 49,325
2 Age Without Limits Virtual Club 10,973,827 161 68,160
3 Free Spirits Virtual Club 6,427,423 132 48,693
4 Community Fitness Pointe of Munster, In. Health Club 6,380,599 372 17,152
5 RowPro Team Virtual Club 5,452,888 88 61,965
6 LUNA-TICS Virtual Club 5,316,739 74 71,848

Season meters as of 327/365 = 137,329,927 m

Total meters on the day = 577,669 m

Oars in space (participation) = 29 percent
