Image Concept2 is relentless with Challenges this time of year. Tomorrow starts the Military Challenge, which is only open to those who are currently in or have served in the military. To participate in this Challenge, you not only have to meet that qualification, but you must change your team affiliation (hopefully temporarily) to match the branch of your military affiliation. Good luck and good rowing to those who participate from this team - and drop in to let us know how you're doing with the Challenge.

Military Challenge:

Row and/or ski as many meters as you can from February 1 to February 28.
Set your Online Logbook to your military affiliation and log your meters in your logbook.
Indoor rower and SkiErg meters only (no on water/on snow meters please). You can combine meters from each machine.
Open to all able-bodied and adaptive athletes who are or have been in the military (no civilians please).
Deadline for entering meters: March 3, 2013 11:59 p.m. ET.

Thanks for the timing reminder! I've tried to track the actual start and stop cut-offs of previous challenges, and am pretty sure that my 11 pm PT posting didn't count with the next day's ET meters at the starting gate. It states "Eastern Time" for the team affiliation add/drop deadline ... but I only see "January 31" for the challenge-end, with no "ET." Maybe I should finish today's row before 9:00 pm Pacific, just to be sure! Who knows, maybe the last time zone (until someone from Hawaii joins the team!) can make a difference at the finish line ... let's go, UTC-8!

Hi fellow Luna-tics...I do still exist and I trust all is well for the team.

We got back from our climbing in New Zealand a few days back, and must say I’ve had one row, but very short, so need to ramp it back up again.

Had a great time climbing, but with mixed weather...

Look forward to catching up on what has been happening in the rowing universe!

And good weekend to all...Baz B)

We all know that it's never "over" until it's really OVER, but definitely lookin' good for third place overall and SECOND place for Virtual Clubs. All our number projections said that we would finish with about a 23.5 MM amount. And yet, here we are with 24.1 MM. What that says is that we went waaaay above and beyond in the last week to increase our meter output beyond our already awesome average daily meters in the Challenge. Amazing...simply amazing....and really well done!

Season meters as of 275/365 = 133,483,843 m
